OE pads vs aftermarket
I need to replace my brakes, the pads light is on. Amazingly only 22000 miles on my car.
I been searching around and IMO RacingBrake rotors has the best product. I can only tell of what I read, not actual testing.
Now, for pads Im lost.....
I assume only OE pad have sensor.. Correct?
What happens if I use aftermarket pads? Will I get a Warning? Something like a CEL?

You might want to try a search on this topic as there are a ton of threads about aftermarket vs OEM brake pads. I have Akebono pads and they cut down on brake dust dramatically. Stopping performance is similar to stock as well.

Akebono pads are not avail for E63.
But, my main question is... Can Sensors be used with any of these aftermarket pads? Or only on OE?

I just put EBC yellowstuff on my E55. They sound like I'm trying to stop a freight train around 5 mph and slower (Very Very Loud Squeal)! It's going to be like that for 500+ miles or so. They BITE, but they are embarrassing!
I think the majority would reccommend akebono pads.

I have Porterfield pads with about 20k miles
on them. STOP AMAZING !! Low dust and
no squeal. I will definitely use them again.

I think brand new they're only 10mm thick. and brake light hasn't turned on yet.

Drilled rotors are good for racing but tend to crack but this based on observation at Loudon several years ago when a friend used to race his Corvette. That's why he had two piece rotors not RB. The drilled rotors were good for one weekend of qualifying and racing. Then he tossed them and put on the slotted only for the street.
What have others found re cracking?

Akebono or Pertefield, Real good.....
Drilled rotors tend to crack after going thru several heat cycles, ie extreme hot to cool thats why they tend to crack.. Just look at some race cars that have blown their rotors apart.. Corvettes are you listening....
