Countyline Dragway....... E55 vs CL55 w/nitrous Round 2

Ran against JS Benz again. This is just a couple vids of the night. I ran 1.6x all night. Just to bad the diesel trucks were killing the prep. amx1397 and 02S430 was there also. And amx1397 put a hurtin on quite a few cars too. In the album are the rest of the vids. We didn't get all of them, since we were taking turns cooling down.

I'm very happy with how consistant my car is running. Now I need cold weather and good prep and we are there!

Brave souls, racing in this scorching weather. Just driving my car in this heat I can already feel a massive different in power.

Elliot are you running on pump or race gas/tune, and still have car lightened or back to normal until the good weather comes along?

I think we are psychotic, and I sold my soul to the devil years ago. But JS Benz is a sponsor there, so we get the good treatment. I also have a sh*t load of cooling on my car and the heat doesn't affect it much. I just can't wait for the cold weather. I hated it when my car was down. So I guess I'm making up on track time.

I switch the tune back to race when I'm headed to the track that evening. And the seats are out for racing, but no braille or skinnies and since my meth is back up, the tank is full. The car can still loose some wieght. Rotors, braille, skinnies, hell the airmatic might even be gone by the time we hit MIR.. Less gas and meth will drop unwanted wieght also. But, oh well!

BTW when you gonna be back home?

Yes, meth sprays at 11psi. The ice in the trunk tank is for low end then meth comes on for top end. After a run the surge tanks are cold and the water in the trunk tank is still cold but no more ice. Not sure lately what IATs are now, but before they never went over 110 in the 1/4 mile.

05 crossfire w/SL55 drivetrain installed by Rudy Compart Intake/Needswings best et-10.76 @ 129
we had a great time,, I got in 11 runs, 60' was 1.75 to 1.85 and ET was 7.3 to 7.4, my car cools down so fast ,, on the return road to the pits my eng temp goes from 197 to 185, then as i am in the line to run again i can cool it down to 175 degrees my iat's go from 130 to 160 during the run. No ice just my H E (three of them with fans on them. ) and my engine fan, In 90 degree weather i can run three times round robin and my eng temp is around 198.

we have to do something down here. You see The asphalt down here retains the heat, so if it's a 90° day, the asphalt is about 140, and it takes forever to cool down at night also. jim
