Buying wheels is just a huge pain in the _ _ _

Looking for some (Black) concave 5 spokes. Options I have looked at are Forgestar CF-5, Stance SC-5ive, and Vossen CV3.

Actually ordered the Forgestars with a 5 week commitment- That of course failed to happen (Vendor Fail) Lost 6 weeks so far in my hunt.

I am not sure the Vossen will fit if lowered - ET36 on a 10" wheel seems about 4mm too far out, and I don't want to get a set of wheels that don't fit

Stance SC-5 No one has them in black, so only option is to pay in full, and HOPE they actually can deliver them in a reasonable time-frame- Not even going to go that route again...

I was so pissed yesterday, I actually felt like selling my car. I don't have this issues with my other, non-modified vehicles.

I'll probably just go with the Machine face SC-5's and have them re finished. Sure would be nice though if it were easier HA (Kicks wal)

Agreed.

Someone might be buying my DPEs, and think I might just rock the stock 18x9s on all 4 corners.

Eh, too many people I know personally have had problems with Forgestars.

Hell, a friend has been going back and forth with them for almost a year now on a set of wheels that has had multiple problems.

I like the look of the Forgestars including F14. The problem is: They can not deliver for ****.

I ordered CF-5's from a local Forgestar distributor, and was VERY, VERY clear I did not want to place an order if they could not meet a 5 week deadline. I was assured it would happen.

6 weeks later, I canceled my order. I will not do business with either again. F it,. In my line of work, commitments mean something. It seems not every organization has the same mentality.

Moose, I cant do 20's. ...

Finding a black 19" concave 5spoke for a realistic price is non-existent.
I've been looking for half a year..

And yes, paying a premium and waiting a couple months for wheels is unreal, especially when they dont go thru with the delivery date. Can make you lose your marbles.

After running on 19's for a year and busting three wheels and two tires, I got sick of it and went back to 18's. They are the same style as the 19's, but smaller. Tires are cheaper and there are more to choose from as well.

Puerto Rico roads must be sh*t. What wheels were you running that broke?

I hit a deep pothole here in Atlanta with my 19" reps...blew the tire (Conti) but no damage to the wheel itself. I was surprised as the wheels were cheaper than the tires.

Can go wrong with a TSW Nurburing or the Avant Garde version?
The Vossen CV3 was cheaper than the M550 which they claim is forged (hence the price difference between the M550 and other avant garde wheels.

They are, we have heavy rain fall all year around a thus the roads have more holes than the moon even though they are constantly paving them they deteriorate constantly. I was running the amg reps in my sig. One of the wheels was oval, the rest had bad bends.

Had Forgestars...I would never recommend them to anyone.
Just throwing out an idea here, but with the Vossens, couldn't you have the hubside machined down to pull them back in a little?

I vote stance sc-5. Everyone's on Vossen CV3's. I was actually looking into brushed w/ polished lip SC-5's for a set of beater wheels. They actually looked pretty good when I put it up against the w211. My local wheel shop was offering them $1500 with tires.

I was also looking into Nutek/Bavaria 5 spoke concave, but I don't think they're on the cheaper side of the price range, I could be wrong though. I may consider getting them for a back up for my HRE's if the price is right (no need for two high end sets of wheels IMHO).

In any case, good luck in your search.

Yes, if the CV3's have enough "meat" on the lug seats, they can be machined down. I had 2mm shaved off my current wheels.

There is a wheel manufacturer in town, and they do an awesome job -

I am currenly in negotiation for some CV3's

They are awesome looking, and I would be VERY happy to get a set, if they fit. And I am working that out now.

In terms of "Who" lagged on my Forgestar order: All I can say it was local.

And here is the beef I have, all other considerations aside

I was told on Friday of last week:

"Your wheels are done, we will have someone pick them up early next week."

On Wednesday afternoon, I asked where the wheels were, to which they responded:

"We have not had a chance to pick them up..."

That ALONE is unacceptable to me. Didn't have time. That tells me: F U CK YOU....

Did I get a call saying, sorry we got busy: No

I was Sooooo pissed... OK, Ill calm down now
