Those are some crazy numbers to run just showing up in street trim all the way around!!!! Any car in the 11s on street tires deserves much respect.

Wow, crazy difference in traps from the street tires to drag radial run. Wonder if it was due to the big cool down, or the traction or a combo of both to increase 9mph (123 up to 132) or even 6mph using your 1 highest street tires trap.

I would kind of hope for the Weistec to do better with the hot engine though (not suffer a lot which that trap difference is pretty big), I guess there is no way around the heat soak problem, on these cars at least. Maybe a killer chiller?

haters crazy
If you peddle it on street tires then you will trap lower than just mashing it on drag radials

Cool down is HUGE still. Street tires will trap higher IF you don't have traction issues. The couple of passes i seen on street tires looked like he was being very easy getting out the hole.

Not bad How was the weather, was this at MIR again? It was freezing there (in the 30s), if so surprised you could manage a good 60ft with a cold track like that. Any changes besides trunk tank compared to last time? Mix in some race gas again and keep it full weight then let her eat? Assume you probably put ice in the trunk tank this time since you had it too. 134mph is moving right along.

Not sure if it has been mentioned before, but are you running the 17psi pulley setup they did testing on with their 91 octane dyno for full exhaust/bigger throttle body, just have more timing for the higher 93 octane?

Edit: followed the link in your sig to dragtimes where it says 17psi. Man if these things are trapping 134mph (in cold weather) at 17psi, I can't wait to see one run at 27psi

Weather is 41 at my house (29 miles away from MIR). Can't wait to see what the whipple can do on a lighter car or a built engine. Good job gadget!

Drool. Move that devil short time to a 1.5 and you'll be beating down 10.5s. I wonder what a 90mm or more TB would do for that blower.

Typically .1 off the 60' is worth .2 in the 1/4 so getting his short time down to where Steve had it (1.51) would out him in the 10.35ish range with no other changes!

20psi with race gas tune on stock engine would be sick. Close to 140mph traps for sure.

Even Gadgets car now with some light weight skinnies up front and the clk drag set up in the rear would shed a lot of rating mass.

What I don't understand, maybe some members can help shed some light on this...

As some of you know Weistec recently posted a new world record for the CLK Black. I believe it was something like 10.1-10.1 through the 1/4 with something like 1000hp.. If what Sir-Boost-A-Lot and other members here are saying the E55, gadgets in particular has a good shot of closing in to the CLKs time-- HOW? Gadget doesn't have 1000hp.. yet even in these runs there's room for improvement even without additional hp..

So a Weistec E55 with less power can post times equal to a CLK Black??

Don't forget that CLK trapped 144mph. Plus I haven't seen any proof that they had 1K HP when they ran at the track.

The CLK has mid 800whp and horrible traction problems.

Well from the look of the video he just linked he had skinnies up front so no improvement to be made there. The weather was real cold so no improvement to be made there either. He probably ran ice in the new trunk tank also.

Gutting the car of the seats and exhaust if you want to improve time that way, yes there is room, then he can get a little better 60ft to improve ET but like said above the trap is way off the one you are talking about. He would need to do a race gas tune and more boost and could possibly get pretty close to the trap (few mph under) and match the ET though.

There's plenty room for improvement... Isn't gadgets car mildly modded by comparisons to the CLK?

You said had a shot without adding additional hp. Yes he can get a built engine and run way more boost and race gas tune also. He could get ported heads and cams as well. But I thought we were talking about with the current setup (without adding more hp).

What I meant by that, is if sir-boost is right you could see 10.3s on a solid run. But, yes more hp is needed to match it @ 10 flat...

All these numbers have got me really excited for the completion of my own build.

He was using Blackbenzz CCW's. the 60ft is still way off of where it should/could be. Bigger blowers are known to be lazier down low so it's possible the torque isn't there to get those times. Guess we will see. Either way there's no way anyone can hate on that trap speed.
