Official MIR Mercedes Shootout Thread 11/17/12

Since there is a little over two months left until the event I thought it would be a good idea to start a new thread with all the info.
MIR is Maryland International Raceway and is located in buds creek MD. It is regarded as one of the best tracks in the country with excellent track prep. The track is almost at sea level and Maryland weather in November is usually cold and the combo provides for great racing weather.
We will have both lanes reserved from 9am-5pm. One lane will be for drag radial and slick cars only as this will preserve the track prep in that lane. Street tires tear up the vht and would ruin the prep very quickly. The other lane will be open to all tires.
Cost will be $100/car and a suite in the tower will be opened to keep warm with a great view of the track. Please keep the suite clean as this is a courtesy provided to us.
The event will be opened to other nice cars as well and will be fun to watch. If you've ever been to one of my previous rentals you know what kind of cars show up.
There will be many fast benzes in attendance and will hopefully see some records!

It would be pretty sweet to go to this and I could caravan with Elliot as he passes by Jacksonville but I don't get back until Nov. 16th

awesome! im in NJ and am actually on a "staycation" that week. could be a possibility. would be cool to see some fast benz's as the closest track to me is ATCO.

Hopefully I am there...gotta get my cams installed and figure out an intake, etc. Blackbenzz, saw you had some cam install instructions in another thread, are they anything different than the Kleemann instructions you can get online?

What's the times for this event? Looks like I'm about 5 hours away. Just trying to figure out if I'd come down the night before or spend the night Sunday.
