Transmission adaptation

Has anyone figured out how to get the tranny adaptation to run if your car is always above the torque thresholds?

I was under the impression the TCU flash solved this.

It removes the torque managment limits. However that has no effect on using SDS to run a Trans adaptation.

Not sure I understand as I had no issue using SDS for adaption.

I used this after resetting through SDS. Not sure if it is what you are after but notice that it needs the AC off even to get to the right torque values.

I have a rough downshift from 4th to 3rd when I use very little throttle, like 3% and if I give it no gas it will down shift smooth and anything over 5% gas it shifts smooth.

I have been trying to get this adapted with no luck and just learned to give it a little more throttle if Im about to go up a hill and the car is in 4th and about to downshift to 3rd.

it only does this going from 4th to 3rd on very light throttle.

can this be adapted out or should I try to get an updated tcu from the dealer

I think the 3.55 in the back are why it won't allow me to run the adaptation and yes the TCU has been updated for the gears. I think I'm beyond the torque limits for running adaptation.

Sounds like your in new territory. Have you gone back to your tuner to see if he can customize it for you?

Hold on a second, you have 3.55 gears in your E55?

Yes I have, but he doesn't have any way to do it. Hopefully I'll figure something out, but it doesn't bother me that much.
