Power steering pump
Hi guys i am a fellow E55 owner from over the pond, but i am new to this forum, was wondering if anyone can help me?
I was doing some donuts & power slides the other day, (as you do) and now my steering is so heavy that i can hardly steer the car. I have been told that i need a new power steering pump.
Just wanted to know what other models of mercedes use this same pump? Im guessing that its not amg specific.
Cheers!

Apparently almost all of them. My pump died and used a pump that was laying around in my friends shop, he said it came off a V6 car or something. I know my wifes ML350's pump looks identical to mine ( reservoir is different though ).
BTW- install a new reservoir since it has a built in filter.

Install wasn't that bad, the reservoir for some reason didn't want to go back on and was a huge pita but everything else was ok.

Decided to tackle the pump myself, took it out to find out part numbers. Wasnt that difficult.
£167 brand new, cant moan at that. Here som pictures to help others.
The parts database shows its the same as the cls55 ( obviously) also the 500 engines.

Is there a trick to this, is the bleeding process critical? Does the wrong oil make it leak? Even though i was told its the correct fluid.
