Something New: Painted my Moldings !! Photos Enclosed

If you remember my thread a while back:
https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...s-welcome.html

I have now "freshened" up the look of the car.
Painted the moldings (impact strips) all body color - as opposed to black.
I REALLY like the change. What do you all think ?

Can't say that I've seen this done before, with the exception of the front impact strips underneath headlights being the Euro/Body color ones.....
Thanks for looking !

I remember the start of the build but haven't really followed it. Would love to see finished photos....

I've never seen it on a Silver E55, but I did this also on my black E55, it definitely makes a difference. One of my favorite cosmetic mods definitely.

I like it, thanks for posting. I'm going to do the same when I have the time to properly remove them, prep, and shoot. An all day project for sure.

I really want to color match all of my trim or do black. What did it cost to get done? I already ordered all black badges.

How hard is it to remove the moldings. Was planning on taking mine off and sending it in to the paint shop.. Have the alabaster white.

Not too bad, when I painted my front end I removed them from the front doors to blend. Should have just painted those then. Also remember the 3 rear bumper pieces. I need to paint the rear bumper center so maybe I will just pop them all off since I'm spraying. Does bring the car to age.
