Please Help!

I am currently having issues with my fuel sending unit. The car is currently at an indy shop (Autothority Pitstop in Chantilly) getting a few things done, one of the things is the fuel sending unit. I bought the parts from Mercedes and was informed that the fuel pressure was low with the new unit. I am trying to do what i can to help the shop out because returning a part to Mercedes is a major hassle that is my last resort. Any help/suggestions would be great appreciated.

My car is stock. I have am having the following done at the shop...
Left Side (Driver's) Fuel Sending Unit and Both L&R Seals
Engine Mount
Trans Mount
Left and Right Thrust Arm w/ Alignment
Brake Fluid Flush
and a ECU Tune (they re-flashed the ecu to stock to rule it out)

Please help!

Thanks,
Steven

This place is a joke.
Left or right side sender? The left side is the sender and filter assembly with regulator, and the right side are the dual pumps and another sender

I'm curious to hear what part numbers you end up with for this replacement sender.

I have heard that with the newest design sender, you will be forced to buy BOTH sides as the new parts are not compatible with the old ones. The seals for those senders are new design also....

Hope this doesn't trigger fuel leak issues for you. Please post up the part numbers that you end up using for the fuel system repair.

The passenger side has the actual pumps. Pressure should be 80psi.

The parts that Mercedes provided was....
211 470 51 94 - Driver
211 470 17 94 - Passenger

And can you confirm if they need to be done together? Mercedes told me that it's not necessary...

Thanks

Ds is what you stated. Agree that both are not needed to be done. But does the shop know the cause of the low fuel pressure???? If not maybe replace ps unit. Since pumps are on that side
