I have seen the symptoms you had mentioned on countless E and CLS class
Drill the old bolt out, the nut is welded onto the chassis and it will be use less since the threads will get messed up when you drill it out. Use a longer bolt and nut assembly. You will have to cut some sheet metal to thread the nut in on the longer bolt.
1 hr job if you have the right tools

This might be part of my upcoming maintenance i have to do. I am going to pass the part number over to my indy shop. I assume these bolts get loctite unless there is a lock washer on them i cannot see?

For those that have modded cars and have not sheared off the bolt, I wonder if simple replacement would be a good preventative maintenance.
I assume the bolt is under repeated heavy load which ultimately leads to failure. Given these cars are now 7+ years old, maybe its a good call to replace every 5 -6 years just to be safe? -And while they are still removable
0029907422 looks like the part is around $4 ea

change out all 4 bolt, not just the 2 on the rear portion of the subframe.
Now of the bolts are strong the chassis mounting points are also know to tear so if this happens in the future you all are looking to spend major money to fix.
