belt size for 180M pulley
what is everyone running on their 180M pulleys? currently i have a 52.5 since that is all the shop had availible at the moment but i know that is for a 195M pulley.
from what i have caluculated stock belt is 1289mm and stock pulley is 152M, so:
180m new pulley - 152m stock pulley = +28mm increase
so stock belt 1289mm + 28mm pulley increase = need 1317mm belt (51.8 in)
so are people with 180m pulleys running the gates 51.4 in belt, the dayco 51.5 in or the dayco 52 in ?
thanks

isnt that a little too big ? by my calcs that would be the belt for a 195M pulley
that belt is 1333.5mm so its 44.5mm over stock belt, so stock 152M +44.5= 196.5M effective pulley size needed for that belt
i would think you have some belt slipping with that belt as mine did on the dyno a few times when they used the 52.5 belt

Honestly I haven't tried a smaller belt and now that I think about it, I should because I do get belt slip with my 180 (from seeing black built up around back of pulley on supercharger. I had that size belt before and then ended up with the same size again when RedBullJnky gave me his during the dyno day (he has a 185mm pulley) after mine broke so I could make my 2+ hour trip to where I was going with full power. Think I might go and order a smaller one now, might be missing out on a few horsies

i think a 52in would have smoother engagement but might get a tiny bit of slip and think a 51.4/51.5 would have harsher engagement with less slip... i will try both and see if i can tell a difference
