--is this normal?? asp idler pulley has little wobble

--is this normal?? asp idler pulley has little wobble

i just was at the dealer to add another shim to my s/c and everything went well and now i just noticed this little wobble... is this bad what could it be wrong with it??

Can't imagine long bearing life with that kinda wobble at higher r's. I'll let someone with a wobbler and miles on it comment.

Have seen that and contacted asp and said it was fine

no there is no noise as you can see on the video... well see maybe asp will send me a different one for replacement and i'll see if the new one does that as well.

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
Mine does not have that wobble nor would I want it to considering it is the belt for the blower.

yah i dont like it either.. just worries me, but anyways do you have the same idler kit from asp? i hope they will swap me out for a new one, maybe the bearings on this aren't centered correctly

I wouldn't like it either. I have the ASP pulleys as well, and mine run true. Maybe yours have more WOT time on them, but at the price point they shouldn't wobble, in my opinion.

This is the "nothing but the best" crowd, right? If the part is failing or not up to spec, correct it.

Just my 2 cents.

I have replaced all the Pulleys apart from the idler one, mainly because i sheared the bolt head and need to spend a bit of time on it, hopefully wont have this problem!
