I replaced my Beru's with Oro-Tek units last year. The stems can be angled up tp 30 degrees and are replaceable if damaged. The Beru batteries lasted about 6 years.

They look just like the one pictured on the OroTekUSA.com link from above.
I ALSO noticed the following from their web site:
"Almost every vehicle manufactured since September 1st 2006 is mandated to have TPMS sensors. The expected battery life for TPMS sensors is 5 years resulting in the consumer’s need for service or replacement of the expired sensor. The TPMS industry, which is already profitable, is about to become very lucrative."
With 5 year batteries, I'm glad I didn't buy some used ones I saw on eBay.
Their home page says "Three TPMS Sensors Cover 90% of all Vehicles". So I guess my '05 E55 is among the remaining 10% of odd-*****. I spoke to another eBay seller who only had 2006 and newer and said he couldn't program my 2005 sensors. (The sensors in the 19" wheels I bought from a 2006 SL55 owner are not recognized by my '05 E55.)
As far as how they work, I can't say until I mount them into my Winter wheel/tire set (that should be assembled soon). I'm pleased so far.

After about 10 minutes of driving including about 7 minutes of 50+ MPH, the tire pressures appeared with a message something like 'to reactivate, Press the (R) button'. I pressed the reset button, and the pressure display was again replaced with "Tire pressure displayed only after driving a few mins."
When I pressed the reset button again, it would display: "Check current tire pres.?", and if I pressed the "+" button, I would get:
"Tire pres. monitor reactivated", and the ""Tire pressure displayed only after driving a few mins." again, so apparently I was just resetting the system over and over again.
After that routine a few times, I just drove and watched. I drove another 10 minutes or so at about 65 MPH and then exited the Thruway and drove stop-and-go through the village. 34 minutes after I originally started, the tire pressures were displayed again and stayed. (This time, I did NOT get any "Press the (R) button" prompt, and all seems fine and stable now.)
Yes, I like my $189 bargain (184+5shipping) for 4 TMPS sensors for my 2005 E55!!

Guys quick question - is it normal for the car to say "reactive tyre pressure monitor" etc when you turn the car on? It does that on mine and then after a few seconds it goes away and I can view the tyre pressures. You guys have this same procedure too?
