Well lookie what santa brought early....
2005... 46k miles. Delivered today. I couldn't be happier. This thing is CLEEAAANNNNNNN!! Huge shout out to FASN8N for his wagon tracking thread.
And before I start... a HUGE HUGE shout out to Carbine Motorcars in New Orleans. They did an incredible job on the sale with me. They took care of getting a few small things fixed on the car when I pointed them out. They got me a deal on the transportation. They didn't try to push any adders on me at the closing table. It was truly as straight forward and as honest of a sale as you could even hope for. We agreed on a price by phone. They provided all the historical records, VMI, maintenance records etc. Even custom photographs. Hell they even took me to lunch and gave me a nickle tour of new orleans. Incredible service. Incredible people. Use them! They really made the car buying process a breeze!
That said, this car is really an amazing dual personality. The wife HATES riding in the M Roadster... the ride is harsh, it's loud, it's so very raw ... which of course is what makes so freaking awesome to drive! However... she instantly fell in love with how civilized the E55 is. Drove her around a bit... took her out for her favorite dinner (i mean i kind of had to given what I just bought). Afterwards... i told her... "now... i'm going to show you that I didn't loose my soul just because I bought a kid-friendly car.... watch this" Her response... "ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING?! SERIOUSLY?" After she stopped laughing... she pointed out that even that rediculous acceleration was far more paletable for her in this car than in the M. It didn't feel like she was getting rattled to shreds. So.. it's even got the wife stamp of approval.
Now I know there's an E55 sedan where I work. I need to start parking lot stalking him by parking next to him all the time.

Thanks! I just realized that this car doesn't have a spare tire. Given the 3rd seat option and the battery... i'm not even sure a spare tire would fit. Hrrm... think the previous owner kept/sold it or think it just never had one in the first place?

Gotcha! Thanks!!
The lumbar / massage seats didn't work. That was an expensive fix. Other than that there was a plastic clip or two missing fir the plastc belly pan that we noticed when the car was in the air. And that was about it.

Congrats on the purchase, enjoy flying under the radar in the "soccer mom" mobile and watching other "supercars" see your tail lights.
My 05 has a collapsible spare with inflator bottle, but I don't have the third row seat either.

I don't think you can fit a spare in your car with the third row seat
