The mounts serve as a way to tie the drive train to the frame and on these cars, to isolate any unwanted noises or vibrations from being heard/felt in the cabin. I just changed my motor and trans mounts this week at 72k. Night and day difference!

Your absolutely right, it is a must. Night and day the car will feel like brand new make sure to do you spark plugs too at 70k miles. You will love the throttle response

Plugs are next on the list for sure. Just need to decide if I want to go stock plugs or wait until I go pulley and tune to get the proper heat range. So far in the last three weeks I have replaced my oil pump and valve cover gaskets. just changed my driver keyless go door handle Tuesday and my mounts on Wednesday. I'll be changing my pano roof motor tomorrow. Also, on the ride home the brake wear sensor warning came on. I guess I'll be doing brakes next week. I should start writing DIYs for all this stuff!

I would like to see a pano roof motor thread. I have seen one old thread where they placed a shim on the motor plate that warped. Are you installing a new motor?

I'll be replacing the motor since I'm getting that machine gun noise when I try to open the roof. I haven't heard of the shim trick yet. I have only had the car for 3 weeks.
