Got the goods today, and what I noticed right away is that both the ring and pinion have the MB star emblem, although these came from a SRT8 Chrysler
Got the TCU flashed by the man for 3.06's and the tcu tune

Craig, I can't wait until you have these in! I hope they're strong enough to take the abuse, I'm thinking about building my second rear end with these for the mile and now someone can test them for me

Looking forward to this, Craig! What's funny is EVERY "Chrysler" part I've ordered for my car had a Mercedes star and A 000 000 00 00 part number format.
The Daimler/Chrysler partnership is having lasting effects. The new 2012/2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee, for instance, is the Mercedes ML for all practical purposes.
What is the stock gearing in the E55? Mine is 3.07 to start with, so the 3.27 ring is the upgrade for us.

......I have a 3.06 gear ratio in my Kleemann E55K S8. Hard to say if it's good or bad. I drive the car in winter mode(meaning starting from second gear) always. First gear just roasts the tires. The acceleration is just so violent. So I'm not sure. Will be interesting to see what somebody else thinks about it.

Out Of Control!!
Nice Craig! You are going to add a shift but the acceleration might offset it.
Ted, have you tried drag radials? If you can harness that power it would be a beast!
The Trans is probably geared accordingly

After my calcs, I still plan on going through the traps in 3rd gear. Moving to a 28" tall tire, raised my shifts points up, so we shall see.

.......I used to drive around the street on Toyo R888's. I finally just switched to regular tires and drive in second gear. Still smokes the tires, but safer.
