E63 P030
Proud new owner E63 P030!!!
Finally picked up my dream machine, a loaded 2008 E63...
Loaded with the following:
Black Nappa Leather
Sienna Black Exterior
Ipod kit
Parktronic
Rear blinds
Voice control
Pano roof
Electric trunk closer
P2 package
and.... of course the elusive P030 AMG performance package!
Originally stickered out at 103,940!!!
1 previous owner, shes got 42k on the clock, and is in exceptionally good condition. Everything works, only blemishes are a couple of minor exterior scratches.
When I first found this vehicle online, the pictures showed it with the aftermarket wheels which kind of put me off initially, but after speaking to the salesman I discovered the original P030 wheels were also included!
After a thorough test drive, I was sold on the car!
I did some research and it looks like 1,063 E63 were sold as 2008 models, out of curiosity does anyone know a ballpark figure of how many E63's were ordered with P030? They seem to be quite rare, this was only the 2nd one I had seen for sale in the last couple of months out of several dozen... which played a big part in my decision to buy her, as I realized the odds of finding a P030 close to home were slim to none!
Here are some quick pictures I snapped before putting it to bed for the rest of the winter... will be counting down the days to spring to really enjoy this beast!
Can anyone help me ID the aftermarket wheels? They are 20" and according to the salesman who knew the previous owner he paid a lot of money for them. I am very partial to the P030 wheels, so will eventually plan on selling the aftermarkets...
Lastly heres my engine builder plaque... can anyone decipher it?
Thanks to the forum for helping me research and make my decision on this awesome vehicle! Quite an upgrade coming from an E36 M3

Congrats on the purchase and getting the very rare 030 package.
Wheels at first glance looked like Renntech monolites but upon further inspection I don't think they are. The Renntech wheels are flat spoked for the most part, and then where it touches the lip goes in. While your whole spoke is convex.
To me, though, it just looks like some cheap chrome garbage. But that's just my opinion.
I really like the OEM 030 rims!

Unfortunately she will be staying in the garage for the next couple of months until the weather clears up!
The biggest selling point for me was the LSD... coming from BMW's where LSD's are fairly common in the ///M models and sports package vehicles it seemed crazy to me to buy a 500hp car without one!

Don't have much to compare it to as I have actually never driven a non P030 E63, and I just drove it home last night in comfort mode from the dealer as it was snowing, and the roads are very salty now...

Check if the tranny has been serviced. If not, do it now.
Also, the LSD may not indicate a change interval, but newer cars have changed to 40k miles.
LSDs not being serviced correctly on the P030 cars has been common for those uneducated. If the oil comes out clear, but slightly "burnt", perfect.
If it comes out looking like grey metallic paint, it was never serviced. Go back and have them change the diff fluid for free. 75W-140 Castrol Syntrax, same as BMW.
Suspension is about 50% stiffer on the shock response.
The Pano does tend to squeak a little more due to the stiffer settings.
Oh yeah, check the last break fluid change. Not so much for breaking performance, but to ensure a long life from the system.
Welcome to a small club.

According to car fax, it shows a rear diff fluid replacement about 4k miles ago... hopefully that is accurate. I wonder if the dealer can print me off the service record history of the car, as I know it has been dealer maintained its entire life!
As for price, I think I did pretty well... 36.3k out the door!

Congrats on the new ride.
Amazing what 5 years will do in terms of depreciation on a car. About a 2/3 loss .
I cannot identify the rims. Sorry.
You may want to replace that banner in your garage

BTW I finally identified the wheels, they are "Mandrus" brand, "Wilhelm" model wheels...
If anyone is interested in them shoot me a pm! They are for sale and are covered in like new condition (probably less than 1000 miles) Falken Azenis tires...
