I have an '08 E63 - I want an extra set of tails to get tinted. I only see DEPO ones on ebay for 03-06 - they're the E63 look, but say they're for the older W211s .. are those a direct swap to an E63?

Sadness. I think I found some though, the seller says they come with the LED panels, for $125 a side instead of $199 total. Guess we'll see... .. in the ad details it says "Part brand: DEPO"

all tails are interchangeable and plug n play for all 211's

Ah, that was my confusion - I guess I'll order up the 03-06 ones and give it a try.

i have a 2003 and am currently running the face lift tail lights

I get that, everyone does that. I want to run the facelift tails in an actual 08 that came with that style. However, according to what I read, OEM '08 lights cannot be used directly on an 03; which leads me to assume if the facelift lights work directly in an 03, they won't work in an 08.

Headlights won't work, but tail lights will.

I think you should get the ones from parts.com...OEM and only ~$40 more each side.

I ended up buying these from fishcake321 on ebay -

They work fine in a 2008 E63.

Two things to note - the red of these tails looks slightly darker and more saturated (more red) than the stock tails, but not very noticeable. The turn signal bulbs however, are much less saturated, more washed out - more towards the yellow/whiter hue than the stock orange. Just something to be aware of you if you are super nit-picky.
