FS: Brand New, Never mounted BBS Barrels 20"x9" and 20"x10" (FULLY FORGED) - 13.8 lbs
These are brand new BBS fully forged barrels. I bought BBS LM-R/s, and had them rebuilt into 3-piece wheels. What's left are the BBS barrels, which are fully forged. They have never had tires mounted on them or seen the road. The original wheel specs were:
20x9 +8
20x10 +18
New offsets will be determined by your new face/back pad
13.8 pounds each
$1000 + shipping
Before Disassembly:
What came off:
Example of what you can do:
I believe BBS LM faces are a direct fit to the barrels.

I don't know how much centers run, but even if one pays full retail for new centers, it will still cost much less than buying a new set of wheels. Best part is you have a new set of wheels since the barrels are new
Other options include buying a face of your choice and having the face drilled to match the holes in these barrels.

If that's the case, then only options would be to find BBS centers off a forum/eBay or bolt on a center from another manufacturer.
I think the draw here, besides price, is the fact that BBS barrels are fully forged. Barrels used in your typical 3-piece wheel are not fully forged.
edit: Regarding BBS not selling centers, as is the case with many things in life, it's about relationships and who you know. They may have a policy of not selling centers to the general public (makes sense. They want to make money by selling a set), but my guess is a dealer they have a good relation with (who could be your local shop) could talk them into selling them some centers.

As long as the person assembling the wheel for you knows what they're doing, then yes. why not? That's what I did when I rebuilt my LM-R's to wider wheels. Rebuilding wheels happens much more frequently than you may think Maybe not on this forum but poke around and see what you find.
In addition, many of the 3-piece custom wheel manufacturers actually use the same barrel. These 3-piece wheel companies make their own faces, but source the inner barrels and outer lips. No different than "screwing in a center to a barrel" and having them come out balanced.

Bump, with my own rebuild for those who feel that rebuilding a wheel will result in an unbalanced wheel Take a balanced, true barrel and a balanced, true face, bolt them together and you have a balanced wheel.
So who wants to switch over from a non-fully forged 3-piece wheel into a fully-forged wheel from face to barrel?
