The stock blower is actually the same design as a whipple just not as big of a displacement. If someone could make a Kenne bell fit that would be the ticket for supercharger efficiency.

Looks like RedBullJunky will be the only one doing twins on his E. I'm gracefully bowing out as I traded my E55 for another Z06. The E had 53k miles and was an 05 and the dealership gave me 24.5k on trade + my aftermarket warranty back. So $27.5k total. I've been itching to get back into another Z06 after trading my 08 Z06 for my E55. Sorry for the bad news guys. Hope RedBullJunky makes his work.

For all the others, this is probably still happening, I am looking for the E55 right now. Once I get one, we'll start on it asap.

Tomorrow I will be bringing the e55 up to OH to drop off with IPS. Talked to Stass the last few days and really excited about the project. Gotta say, I am pretty excited that the original guy flaked out.

I wouldn't say flaked out. I'd say moved on to a better platform with 1000x the expandability, potential, reliability, cost effectiveness, and fun factor.
I'm a Corvette guy at heart, always have been, always will be. Guess that's why I'm on my 3rd one (2nd Z06).

Congrats on the Vette. I wasnt trying to be negative with my comment, just excited about the project. I have always like vettes too. I have owned 2. One was a Lingenfelter vette and was a complete blast to drive. But now that I have little kids I need a beast with 4 doors

Here is a stock engine and internals twin turbo 928 putting almost 700hp to the wheels. Imagine what a twin turbo set up would do on the E55's.

Here is a Porsche 928S4 that put down 722 RWHP on pump gas and 825 RWHP on E85 with 22.5 PSI of boost. Stock internals and 5.0L displacement. http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...594-post1.html

Why do you say the Porsche heads will "flow better up top" then the MB heads? What do you mean by "up top"?
I would say the MB will make similar HP per psi of boost but most likely less. The 4 valve Porsche heads will flow better up top than the 3 valve MB heads but the MB will make better mid and low range torque due to the increased displacement. That is, assuming the Porsche is at stock 5.0L displacement and not a 6.0 or 6.4L stroker engine.

But consider that the Porsche has a much more acceptable range of noise and vibration that's acceptable because it is a sports car. So the cam timing is likely more tame and the exhaust/ intake tract is likely more restrictive on the Benz.
Back on topic however, My opinion on the TTs is that the engine will support 800RWHP if the tune can be dialed in to prevent detonation or lean spots.
