Help Needed With Rotor Removal

So I'm trying to get the front rotors off of my 2008 E63 and am not having any luck. I removed the set screw, got the caliper out of the way and am banging on the back of the rotor but its not moving. Is there another screw/ locator pin that needs to be removed? I've read it takes alot of force so perhaps I just have to hit it harder but I've never had a rotor this hard to remove. Any advise is appreciated.

This place is a joke.
Spray some penetrating oil on the rotor where it meets the hub. Give it a few hard hits with a 5-10 lb sledge hammer from the back where the caliper would sit. Also, put a wheel bolt back in a few turns so the rotor doesn't fly off or fall on your toes and wear safety glasses.

This is good advice. I literally cracked my rotors taking them off so you have to hit it HARD!

+1. He needs to talk to it, also. Let that rotor know that it is going to be okay. Sometimes we need to let go......

Surprising for an 08. I had no trouble at all. I am going to guess track days had something to do with it.

I used a big rubber mallet, after letting hub soak for a while with PB blaster sprayed on it. I thought they would never come off, until I got the Pb blaster out.
