For the guys that have never done an event like this here are some hp guidelines for HP requirements to go certain speeds. (Only thing is doesn't match up to cars that have a small frontal area (Supra, Ford GT, RX7 FD) but for corvettes, and similar it is pretty close.
300 rwhp - 142mph
400 rwhp - 163mph
500 rwhp - 174mph
600 rwhp - 180 mph
700 rwhp - 188 mph
800 rwhp - 190 mph
900 rwhp - 200 mph
1000 -1100 rwhp - 210 mph
(These are just ranges to give you an idea of what it takes)
To give you an idea the guys running 240-250mph are in the 1500-1800 rwhp.
I have @550 rwhp

200 mph? No
You will not make your 55K motor achieve a 200 mph in the mile. Period. Twin turbo V12's? Yes. Ours? No
I'm far from a professional race car driver or a professional tuner.....but I have raced a mile race and these were the factors I faced...
Temps during the race?
Car in the best shape possible?
Tuned properly for the race?
Weight of vehicle and of you during the race (me@188lbs)?
Wind direction during the race?
Heat soak?
Pavement groves and dips?
Track shuts down for some unknown reason and your engine heat soaks?
Do you tape or not tape....if so, what?
I freaking don't respond to you tools for a day and it becomes a sausage fest of egos. I'm fun natured, not full of venom. Blokes need to chill. Enough hate in the world, no need for that sh+t here. Agreed?
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
200 mph? No
Some of you guys are somehow taking this personal about the 200 mph mark. Pull your panies from your *** and calm down. I don't have the fastest car. I don't care if you are faster. Congratulations?

Yes, I do. Too many variables in the real world. That's why I still say 1100+ crank hp. Have you run a mile race yet? I'm guessing no.

Second thought, I did sh*t talk it couldn't be done with our 55k motor, sooooo.....bring the laughing gas, then.
Thank you
Yes. Just a supercharger pulley with factory crank pulley
It always seems someone needs to throw out a number first, but if we're doing it in the spirit of pushing the platform....
Edit: No timeline for me. Someone with the means just do it.
