Cool Guy With A Cool Goatee In A M3
Loud as hell exhaust zipping in and out of traffic, all windows down (probably playing techno, couldn't tell, exhaust was so hideous) and had his boyfriend in the car. I get up to him and pass at about 75mph and get right in front of him. Downshift and as soon as he gets to the side of me to pass I floor it and walk away to about 125mph. Then he zips off the freeway to a slow street and heads right. Feeling like it was done and in the left turn lane he pulls next to me revving his exhaust so I turn right and get to the next red light, side by side. Take off from the light and blew his doors off to a quick 70mph and easily had a car length on him.

The M3 driver seemed like a douche and deserved to get beat, but have you ever ran a turbo e46 M3? My M3 is getting turbo charged in the next month built motor, proefi ecu, fuel system, etc. and I doubt there will be many AMG's that will be able to keep up. An N/A M3 against an E55 in a straight line on the highway is not really fair.

I believe it... those cars are highway beasts... but that's about it. Not really so fun to drive them around town unless you really mod it proportionally.

Not bashing on you but is the car worth the 15-20k to get the turbo running right? Maybe ten years ago..

I've had the m3 since I was 16 so it has a sentimental value to it, my other option was to buy a supra and build it but a clean one goes for around 30k plus another 12k in mods. Right now this is my best option to get to 1000hp. 10 years ago there wasn't much out in terms of turbo kits just this past year there have been many new kits released and breakthroughs in tuning. Plus a low mileage 6 speed M3 holds its value pretty well the blue book on my m3 is almost 10k more than my e55.
