i haven't been posting much on here lately, but as many of you know i've definitely remained in the auto scene. last weekend some friends and i took my E63 to shifts3ctor which was about a 3 hour drive to do some media coverage and meet some people. we had the chance to go to where the cars lined up to race and be right next to them when they launched for pictures and video. the cars had a half mile to go as fast as they could.

i couldn't take watching all those cars fly by and get up to speed anymore, i had to do it. i felt the need, the need for speed at the event, i met up with alex murtaza (he took the rolling shot of the BS from my backseat rolling down the runway)and we were introduced to jason and ryan, the founders of shifts3ctor who also happened to own a CLK BS and an E55 (E55 was not there) we pulled some strings and Jason gave me the OK to do a few passes. i was stoked, my first time ever actually racing my E63. so i filled out some waivers, found some helmets, lowered my rear tire pressure to 34PSI and before i knew it i was in line to race

i had been wanting to race a bentley continental GT for a while and i spotted one at the event, so i asked him if we could race and he agreed to it, he had also made previous runs so he was experienced. you can see the results in the video. my second and third passes were against Aaron from DC performance in LA's modified SL55. we both had passengers in our cars so it was a fair race.

The winner of the event was an english tuning nissan GTR that made a 204MPH pass. my fastest pass was a 144. a ferrari california got up to 138 and Jason's CLK BS got up to 140 with a weistec tune. all the other cars were well out of my league. I got to meet the weistec crew including the owner steve who was busy much of the time replacing the spark plugs on the supercharged C63 BS. and i got to meet luckykimmy off these boards with her C63. The only performance mods done to my car are deleted charcoal filters and a eurocharged ECU flash and i was running on michelin pilot sport all season tires. enjoy the pics and video, and if anyone wants more detailed pics of anything let me know, i have lots more i was the only W211 at the event.

 

Bentleys are heavier than E63s right ? Also, any video of E63 Weistec racing that McLaren ? lol

Wow you and that SL55 had some good runs... I thought he'd take it away easily with the upgraded pulley.

thanks for the great input everyone. most of the people there were from So Cal so yea definitely come through next year, i'd love to go back. yes, the Bentley is heavier than my car. and that SL55 made some previous runs and of course heat sink has something to do with is so that gave me the advantage in the 85 degree weather. he was spinning like crazy too off the line.

Sweet, I raced that Ford GT last year, it came on strong like that at the back half of the track! Hope to make it out to the next event!

 

No disrespect to the ShiftSector guy in the thread, but there is another event next month No Fly Zone 2. If you guys want your chance to make it out now would be the time! This event is a bit smaller than shiftsector but I know I'm going to it so I can address my different mods in time for the next ShiftSector.

Those Clk Headlights Look Awfully Ricer Hoopty!!

 

those ricer hoopty headlights happen to be hollowed out parking lights serving as an intake. i never got to see it run (power steering pump went bad and they were pushing it back to the trailer when i got there) but by the looks of it it was all go.

 

Blackbenz has had his headlights like that for years. He was told by someone that it was "to ricer".

 

Ohh got it! It's hard to catch sarcasm on the Internet sometimes haha yea it was nuts. Wish I had got a chance to take a peak under it's hood before it got put away.
