175mm Pulley and cooling questions for the experienced veterans...

Was hoping to get some good advise from those who have first hand experience.

I have (what seems to be) an ASP 175mm crank pulley that I am considering installing in conjunction to my UPD supercharger pulley.
Mods to the cooling system:
-split the cooling with the new version Bosch pump (on constant circulation)
-installed coolant tank outside of engine bay (behind front grill) and larger heat exchanger

My questions are:
-Is this a safe pulley to install?
-What would be the crank size equivalence of this pulley combo?
-Is my current cooling adequate for this combination?

I have 175MM Brabus pulley and Shardul's smaller upper supercharger pulley. That combination bumps your effective size to around 185MM. Honestly I think you will need a bigger tank. What you have now will be sufficient enough when it is not so hot outside. You will see and average of 25-35F temp. difference during normal driving.

You around 190mm equivalent and your cool ing will not be sufficient unless you add meth.

Thanks for the input gentlemen.
I prefer to leave the cooling alone for now. Would a 168mm pulley suffice with the current cooling system?

I got pretty warm when I had the 175mm but after the meziere pump and trunk tank it wasn't too bad. I think you would be right around the 185mm range. Best way to see how it works is to try it

We just did a car tha t was bonestock with 168mm and kleeman headers only. Stock cooling and we saw 130* on the dyno as peak iats when tuning. Anything over 120* and it pulls timing brotha. Correctly setup meth kit will have you at ambient on wot runs.

Yeah but that's stock cooling. My current setup cools significantly better (I've data logged my car before and after the cooling mods to confirm). Just not sure what boost level shes currently good for.

AMBIENT @ WOT????.... That's amazing! I'll have to consider installing a meth kit in the future.

Not trying to hijack the thread but similar position here

Cooling won't be enough with all he has ?

I was in route to order 180 crank and supercharger pulley and was planning to put both and I just have a tune only. So I should just also refrain away from that and just get the 180mm alone ?

Cuz I do not even have a CM90 pump it's just the stock one. I don't do 1/4 like all of you , just some hwy pulls and speeding up here and there and maybe few laps in summer ?

You're going way out on a limb. If I were you I wouldn't do more than the SC pulley, you'll regret adding the crank pulley to the setup unless you add water/meth and a water tank.

Its best if you have a Tank in the boot that will sort out you cooling issues.
I was running a 200mm pulley with a tank never had any problems

That's the reason I've been sitting on this crank pulley for over 6 months.
The UPD supercharger pulley is 6mm smaller than stock... If it were 10-12mm smaller I wouldn't even consider installing this crank pulley.

Yes, ambient temps Alex, you read that right. Onething you will notice when you add a crank pulley is that your TQ will climb substantially. A supercharger pulley is nice, but even on the terminator (03/04) and lightning platforms, cranks pulleys make a ton more tq than just doing the blower pulley.
