Why does my passenger side city light stay on after locking car?

Why does my passenger side city light stay on after locking car?
So after I lock my car my passenger side city light stays on for about 45 seconds to a minute. As soon as I press any button on the remote even trunk opener, the light will come on for the minute and go out after. What could be triggering this? Some module staying awake?
When I saw this occur I brought up the voltage display in the cluster to check my voltage. I saw 12.2-12.3 before start and 14.1 on cold start then settles to 13.8 after a bit. This seems normal to me, is it? The one issue is when in stand still in traffic for 15-20 mins my voltage dips down to 13.5 when I start to drive again then jumps from 13.6-13.8 for the rest of my drive. This I'm thinking is not normal? Alternator was replaced 3 yrs ago with the batteries as well.

Both my city lights stay on for a while after locking the car, along with other lights too, tail, license plate, under the door mirrors to name a few. It's normal, but definitely not normal for only one of yours to stay on. Are you sure one isn't burnt out?

Mine did this once and I fiddled with the light switch switching it back and forth off auto... never happened since that iv noticed.

I have the same issue
I just bought a 2012 cls 63. When the car is off and my light is turned to P or parked instead of auto, I get out and lock the car and the passenger side LED parking light stays on. I'm starting to think its a short or wiring issue, this is so crazy. Someone has to know something....

A few day later, the passenger headlamp came on when parked, the light switch was at 0, turned it to A but it still stayed on, turned it to 0, and it went off
This morning my wife couldnt start the car, my guess was that the freaking headlamp stayed on for the night, had to boost it, now car is in the garage
to be checked out.
Searched this site and it seems replacing the light switch resolved the issue by some posters, dont mind paying for this repair if it is the culprit.
Will post the outcome once I have the answer.
