Thoughts on facing a Boss 302

Hey guys. A few weeks back I tried running a modified Boss 302 from about 45mph. It was close, but by about 125mph I'd say he had the lead, my front bumper was at his back bumper. I kind of expected to do better.

At that time, my car was stock, his car has a full exhaust, full suspension, air intake, tune, race wheels and is dyno'd at 434whp/382tq.

Since then I have installed a Eurocharged Supercharger Pulley and a Eurocharged tune and the Boss 302 has installed drag radials.

Do you think me running him from 40, or 50 will be much different than the first experience?

All I have is an EC tune and my buddies Boss didn't have a chance, you'll do fine.

Hope you get 'em, car felt like a new animal after a smaller sc pulley and EC tune, but I did bosch 010 IC pump with pulley and tune all in one shot! What kind of cooling mods do you have or have you considered? This might be a little premature Not sure but it couldn't hurt putting the bosch 010 intercooler pump in plug n' play for about a buck and a quarter and was pretty easy DIY

With the EC sc pulley and tune you will be fine. He's gonna think twice after this.

I'm getting an 010 Bosch installed in a few days (before running him).

I hope so! I'm a little worried, his car seems to be pretty quick.

2 were at my last track day one with slicks running 12.8. Otherwise stock. Wasn't that impressed

I'm guessing your pump was working intermittently during the first race.

On a side note, that Boss sounds sexcellent.

You should hear it when you're right at its bumper and your windows are down....almost makes your ears bleed!

But, I'm going to try running that black GT first and see how I do against it. That boss went 12.3@117 last year.

Yup. Combined with a faulty cooling system and I could see a 430whp anything give it a run.

If you're IAT's are getting up there from multiple pulls, ECU is cramping your HP by pulling a LOT of timing (1/2?) Make sure you run him FIRST pull, not after a while.
