Traction control on or off
Hi
How do you guys turn your traction control off in the W211 E55?
I am from Australia and nowhere in my car can I find the button to do this thinking they were removed for Australian delivered cars.
Regards.

Hi
I turned off traction control and used the car in C, S and manual mode and absolutely loved it. The car feels awesome without traction control kicking in but now I need some good grippy tyres on the back to help reduce the wheelspin.
BUT I also got a warning lamp pop up (not the ESP off light) but just under it so I will now connect up Star Diagnostic to see what is wrong.

Hi
I connected STAR Diagnostic to find out what the warning light was for on my dashboard and it stated a problem with the engine efi system. After looking at it further I found issues with the "DTR" part of the efi system and issues to do with torque control and torque management.
I was able to delete all fault codes which removed the warning lamp from the dashboard and drive the car again with ESP turned back on and no issues.
Does anybody know if there is a way to drive the car with ESP off and have no warning light come on the dashboard?
UPDATE: now the engine warning light comes on the dashboard even when driving the car with ESP/Traction Control on....weird!

Hi
To Savman: thanks for all your advice in this matter. I have actually just emailed Jerry and explained the problem.
Do you think somewhere in the tune needs to be adjusted or compensated for the extra torque my engine creates?

Hi
I did a rescan with Star Diagnostic and the DTR settings and torque settings did not get a mention at all this time (probably because I haven't used the car since). I now have the following issue:
"ME2 - SF1 - Motor Electronics 2.8 - F -" and when I selected that fault it came up with:
P208A - 004 Y62Y7 fuel injector 7 P0207 STORED
I was able to clear that above fault using Star Diagnostic and have emailed Jerry the info as well. I will test drive the car again in about 12 hours from now.

Hi
Ok I started the car this morning and within a few minutes the check engine light came back on. I connected Star Diagnostic and it also said the same error and to look at injector 7/cylinder 7. Me and my mechanic took a closer look and found the electrical plug to injector number 7 to be the issue. We fixed this and all is well now.
I just don't understand why I had an error with "DTR" about torque issues in the beginning and now it is gone?...very weird.
