Yeah that's normal. I used to own a PC/CEx shop back in 05-09 and it was hard to find ovens that went to 750F and still were big enough to hang full length headers inside that didn't command NASA budget. Everything was made for PC only and it just didn't get hot enough for the ceramics.

yeah, we don't do ceramic that requires baking for that reason. only that does air cure. but for powder most of them are fine at 400

This thread is driving me crazy. I know nothing is happening right now so there aren't going to be any updates I want to see but every time there is a new post I quickly read it.

I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see how this turns out and it can't get done fast enough. I hate builds that take more than a week, I don't have the patience.

Lol, yeah I have no patience either. Ask Stas, I'm sure he would agree. Should have new photos to post tomorrow afternoon.

Man my mind is going so many different ways right now I don't know which way is up.

I am not sure what I want to do, I was looking at a 700whp on E85 B5 S4 the other day thinking about that and also having the E55. I was also interested in doing a full blown built engine/transmission big turbo Jeep SRT8 and selling the E55. On the other hand I had thought about just selling the E55 and buying a new Audi S4 for something more modern/fresh, but then I have had interest in doing the bigger supercharger for a year or two before I lost interest from the long wait and with the multiple different people having issues with the Weistec setup it shied me away. Speedriven got me excited again with theirs running (we just don't know any info) and this twin turbo E55 stuff going down was a bigger surprise and turbos are awesome so just sticking with the E55 and turboing it would be sick too.

As you see, I just don't know what to do, if only I had the money to have them all I think I need a better job, like one that pays $200k a year haha.

You'll save a lot of money by simply putting turbo's on the E55... then maybe the coil over conversion and hit the track with it. Surprise EVERYONE lol.

i know the exact b5 s4 your are talking about... its 1sicks4's car on the audizine and his car is truly sick http://www.audizine.com/classifieds/...-30-psi&cat=67.... but at 25K kinda hard to swallow for a 12yr old car when you could just keep 25K cash in your pocket and use it to offset the loan payment cost on a new e63TT 4matic for at least a year

Yeah that would be the S4, only problem is I don't have E85 readily available by me, think there is one station on the complete opposite side of Jax (like 30 min. drive). A awd E63 certainly would be sick but man am I not ready for that payment for the next 5 years!

i'd be very interested to see how the stock motors hold up to a turbo kit. Obviously you will lose a lot of the heat and stress (power sapping) of the blower, so maybe 600whp reliably?

That's what we are thinking. But won't know until tuning is complete.

Dude down the street from me has a SUPER-BUILT SRT8 Jeep (stroker, turbo, cams, etc.)
Whenever I meet-up with him on the street, my CLS will probably be for sale shortly thereafter.

(he's alleged to be 900HP or so at low boost).

Yeah, probably right, I am just a little leery of the engine and the transmission. Part of me says it will be fine but then the other side thinks before I know it I will be $20k in to a turbo kit, built block and transmission. I just can't decide if I am going to drop that kind of money if I would rather just have a brand new car instead of dumping tons in to something that is already 8 years old.

Those turbo Jeeps are ridiculous man. Don't doubt anything he says about it.

Urban...I know about those Jeeps. My buddy has one. Even stock, they are STUPID!
I can't imagine much beating a built one out of the dig. Mash it and go.
Good thing is if you get one, it's the same trans as our cars.

Pretty much the same transmission, there are little differences like the clutch packs used, solenoids on the valve body, etc. I have a modded valve body in my transmission from Paramount Performance who is big in the SRT8 scene and I asked Bill (the owner) about the valve bodies and he said they are a little different from Mercedes to Jeep/Dodge/etc. Paramount Performance or Southern hotrod are two places that do built 722.6 transmissions.

And yeah, they can get out of the hole lol

Sonofa***** that's what you call a launch! I remember riding in a 10 second Typhoon a friend of mine was tuning back in the day.. I wasn't ready for that kind of launch that massive torque, AWD, and enough weight to keep the tires from spinning can yield. I'm pretty sure I got whiplash from that thing!
