I recently had my alternator replaced on my CLS55 and now my navigation map shows incorrect data. It shows my car about 15 miles off of where I actually am. Everything worked fine before for me as well.
I do have a "burnt" copy of an updated navigation disc but I find it odd that it stopped working exactly when my alternator and batteries died.

i wonder if there is a reset precedure for the Audio Gateway?? seems like everything on these cars has a way to reset, ecu, door modules, sunroof module ect. STAR sure would help if you have the capability. Good Luck.
When my NAV starting acting up (after I got it back from a complete detailing) I figured they must have removed the disc from the player. Turns out it was just one of those coincedences. Unit was completely dead with the disc still inside....swapped in a new unit and swapped the disc over and everything was back to normal.

No clue. I have had the opposite issue, though: I get a "failed to connect" message when trying to view the map, but it's always fixed by leaving the battery disconnected overnight. Only happened a couple times.
