Hit the track on Saturday

There was a threat of rain so the local drag strip was desolate. I could've hot lapped but the car was getting hot as is... I could feel the power fall off after 5k rpm or so. I'm used to running my Cobras so this was an interesting change up since they typically love 7k rpm.

Mods:
BFG KDW2 275/35/18
ASP 180mm pulley
MBH long tube headers
Eurocharged heat exchanger
Johnson CM30 pump (NOT split yet)
Unknown tune (previous owner)

60ft - 1.87
330 - 5.1041
1/8 et - 7.7770
1/8 mph - 7.91
1k et - 10.0770
1k mph - 106.13
1/4 et - 12.0099
1/4 mph - 118.20

Nearly all of my 60s were 2.0+... since there was only a handful of people there they never prepped and all I could do was rely on the traction control. Also, with the threat of rain and the slightly higher temp (81°F), the DA was horrid at 2800ft. This track is normally 11-1200, lol. Using the DA compensation calculator that NHRA uses for SuperStock classes and such, it comes out to 11.62@122.2.

Overall, I'm a little disappointed but it was my first time out in this car and I know improvements can be made. With a better track/tire and good air, I'd like to see an 11.3-11.4@124.

LOL 12 flat in a 4 DOOR LUXOBARGE isn't too shabby in my book, especially with that D/A. It's a sad day when High 11's is just "meh" in a 4 door

I bet with a smaller crank pulley (168), you'd see mid 11s@ 122-124 easy with a good launch. A 180 in 80+ degrees is not helping and likely hurting. Also, I'd look into more cooling mods if you plan to keep that 180 and run at the track often.

Haha, yea I suppose it's all relative. I'm slightly tainted, my buddies all have pretty fast cars.

Mods are coming! Looking into untuned meth as well after I read about your results

All mods were done by the previous owner, I plan on keeping the 180 and focusing on a ton of cooling. Might consider further increasing the boost once I have the heat under control.

I've been working with Craig at BIP and I have ID1000s and twin 340s on the way. Switching over to e85 since it's very common in my area and I run it on my Regal and one of my Cobras. After that, I'll likely be building a trunk tank setup and I'm looking into the meth on top, as mentioned. This trip was more of a baseline so I know what to focus on and before BIP gets their hands on the tune.

With that DA and no prep, you did okay. As well, stock t/b is choking the 180 pulley. Which track were you at?
Invest in a datalogger if you want to continue on lowering your times.

Good times and Craig and the gang at BIP are super helpful. Keep the 180 add cooling then add the smaller SC pulley for more!!

Not bad at all... Add the cooling, smaller SC pulley and Larger TB and you will be there.. Possible 10's with drag radials.. I'm looking into meth as well after seeing some results.. Good luck
