You are correct. With a 60 shim it will put me around 1.470-1.480 installed height.
If you could give me your specs, seat pressure mostly that would be great.
On a side note what a pain in the *** to cut those spring cups.

its mike you have the thin cups and the deeper spring seat casting in the heads.
At 1.47 I was at 83-85 or so. The ramp on the springs is higher than stock and you end up at the numbers he posted earlier for open. So the open and closed pressures are one set of data but the spring tension ramp is also different then then stock. Lucky we have rollers.

Yes I have the short cups that he said to use so it looks like I am right where I should be. 1.480 , 90lb's on the seat so looks good.
With all this effort I hope it works correctly LOL
Oh and no..going to use my original heads, the N/A heads are to thin to port and a couple other things so was told by two head porters that specifically do these not to bother and stick with M113K heads.

I HOPE SO TOO. We might want to think about consistent high ZDDP to stave off any additional wear from the higher pressures. Could mean nothing.

No worry's with a few more lb's as far as wear go's. The pressure is what 10-15 maybe over stock..mine stock are at 80lb's, but it is the valve train control that is really a plus and I learned that a long time ago with my small block Ford Renegade engine. If you have 140lbs on the seat to keep the valves closed and you put 25lb's off pressure {boost} behind it, you now have 120-125 of seat pressure. There is a calculation for it.

I would love to hear from someone that has done this spring swap and what they saw/gained in power and rpm....mostly rpm.
Maybe Chris can chime in and post some success story's for rpm gains with stock cams as well.

I sent the VB for SGA. I should be interesting to see how it goes with the alto red clutches from Southern Hotrod. The VRP thing is still ongoing. I have provided pics and measurements and sent it back. Luckily it doesn’t hold anything else up.

Has anyone got data on NA springs?
I'd like to replace my NA springs with something stiffer (a decrease in mass would also be nice). The Comp 26123 springs mentioned in this thread are for a boosted application, would I be better off using Comp 26113 or M113K springs?
26123 has a spring rate of 324lbs/in. 26113 has a spring rate of 191 lbs/in. Installed height and coil bind are also different.

I can tell you for sure that the N/A springs are very close to the Comp springs and have measured multiple times. I would go with the same spring and retainers and just the weight savings alone would add to the rpm potential just like we are doing.
My springs go in for December when weather gets colder and car is off the road for more updates.

I don't want to run stiffer springs than is necessary. Would you be able to provide numbers for na and k springs?
