RPM Signal PU for logging

I'm sure someone's been down this road, so I'm hoping for some specifics...

Want to pick-up an RPM signal for logging purposes. From the docs, "RPM Input. 0-5V, 0-12V square wave, tach signal, primary (low voltage) side of ignition coil, crank, cam sensor."

Anyone have specifics you're willing to share? I've been using OBDII, but it's just too darn slow.

Thanks.

In the ecu box on the drivers side open it up there should be a pink/peach colored wire that will be your tach wire

E55 AMG
I think RPM is C3/Pin 2 iirc, but if you can I would pull from the cam sensor. It's supposed to be less spiky or so I've heard.

TPS is C3/Pin 21

Here is what you are looking for. From this info you can do MAP, IAT, TPS, and RPM.

Hulk - If you can figure out where to get the other half of this sheet I can figure out out how to log your bypass valve ...

No, I think they changed the pin out on the NA cars.
