Putting the E55 in Storage....Any advice?
Putting my baby in storage this week coming up. I plan on an oil change and trans fluid change prior to storing her. I also plan on visiting, starting, rolling forward and backwards at least once a week. If I'm doing that, I should be fine with leaving the battery attached correct? Any other advice anyone can think of for when I bring her out sometime in 2014?

I see you live in Amarillo, just out of curiosity why are you storing it? It's usually dry weather out there this time of the year? My parents live out there for about 5 years....

when i first owned my E i only drove it maybe 1x a week and didn't really drive it in the winter and i didn't attach a trickle charger but wouldn't be a bad idea - change fluids for sure -

I want to keep the miles from getting up there too fast. I'm at 68k. I have 4 cars to choose from when I go outside and if I even glimpse at the E55, I get in it and go. When I'm driving my other cars, I wish I was in the E. This has never been a problem until I owned the E. This is my attempt to make "Out of Sight, Out of Mind" work for me. We shall see if it works. -_-

Out Of Control!!
If you plan to have weekly visits, then I wouldn't worry about it. Mine has sat for 2 months while I was out of the country, and it was just fine the first time starting it afterwards.

Mine is in stored 7-8 months each year for the past 7 years. No problems whatsoever, but there is a process to follow.

Hey each is his own. I could understand if the car had very low miles and you wanted to preserve the car and keep it but with it at almost 70K it already up there in miles just enjoy the hell out of her and drive her once or twice a week like i do .

I've always kept my nicer cars in the garage and driven less. Looking back I should have drove the wheels off it as I wouldn't have lost a lot more money when I did go sell em eventually. Even the ones I swore I'd never sell, they got sold too.

OP - I used to be like you. But as you get older, you start to realize there are more important things (far more important things) in life than driving the car because the mileage will get up too high.
I used to drive my car once a week, if that. Sometimes it would sit for two-three weeks. One day, my grandfather asked me, "why are always driving the beat up Toyota and not your nice car?"
"I want to keep the miles down". He chuckled, looked up at me and said, "when you're 85 like me, you're gonna regret not driving cars you love when you owned. You're only perserving the car for the next lucky owner, just enjoy it".
BBBSS is right. You'll sell the car one day, we all do.
Ever since then, I try to drive everywhere and as much as I can, especially on the weekends/days off...unless there are mounds of salt all over the roads...
