Interesting, and FWIW my 82mm without problems, I had put new Bosch O2 sensors (front only) before I started modding the car.
Same here, never a hiccup fortunately...same 02's

You might be lucky but I doubt it will be your 02 sensors that is causing it, if its the same code that others have it relates to the map sensor.

This is what I have tried

Supercharger off 5 times each time all gaskets changed, 2 different shops have fitted and 3 I did myself. When I say all gaskets I mean all.
Tested for leaks, none.
Reset TB both in STAR and following the unplug cable sequence
Default Initialization in STAR
3 Different 82mm TB's, 1 EC + 2 MB
Changed from adaptor plate to welded
New Map Sensor
New TB + bypass body cable's
New O2 Sensors
Moved map sensor feed to front of engine
3 different Tuners have mapped my car
Changed map sensor voltage

Everything resulted in exactly the same outcome, steady 80mph slight increase in load and there it is the same code.

I put my stock TB back on no problems drives fine, put the 82mm back on and there it is again.

As posted I will try getting updated ECU from MB and then reloading my file.

I'm in the same boat as SAVMAN.
I have done almost all the same things not as many times but close to the same things.
I hope his dealer trip fixes this I have no idea how it only effects certain cars.

I have had 3 different tuners on my car - all 3 same result

82mm TB was also the first mod I fitted and it happened on the stock file.

I have two tuners on my car as well.
One claims he is out of ideas and right now he's supposed to be one of the top tuners.

mate, didnt read the whole thread but
1: make sure you have the Tb from an S550 not an audi
2: get the Y pipe and TB housing from the 80mm tb setup from the 2007 SL55 models
3:rise ideal on d and N an d via star
4: get an adapter plate and weld & bolt
5 New front o2 sensors
6 check for vacuum leak using brake clear around the intake and engine
7 make sure to plug all the pipes back in, there is one beneath the Tb

All else fails u have th parts from the 80mm MB tb kit, so use that and call it a day :P

I just replaced all four O2 sensors and cleared all codes on the ecu (there were ten of them). I disconnected the battery for ten minutes and have went on two drives today. The car is running much better and I can look on the dashdaq and see the fuel trim activity is much more active. I did some freeway cruising around 80, uphill, and some low speed parking lot crawling. So far, no cel and no hiccup.

I may have jinxed myself. I did quite a bit of driving today and right before I got home, I felt a very, very slight hiccup and saw the STFT go up. It was not as bad as before and definitely did not happen as often as before. Also, still no CEL. Maybe that was a fluke hiccup. The car is running much smoother now.

You didn't jinx yourself it was never going to be the O2 sensors causing a map sensor error, the ECU will typically only throw a CEL when it has seen it 3 times.
Your car will drive much better with new O2 sensors though so it's not a wasted exercise.

So here are the questions:

Whats the longest you drove previously without getting a code?

Have you passed that point yet?

The "very small hiccup" you describe I have felt.. Under a small load, there is a little "blip" you can feel ever so slightly...

I think it is when the fuel system switches from open loop (fuel map) to closed loop (Reading AFR).. Depending on the tune (that defines open loop mixture), the ECU will attempt to bring the mixture back into a stoichiometric state (14.7). This is where you can see STFT go up or down more than "typical", but this is normal behavior in my opinion.

The reason you were getting the code is in closed loop, your ECU had no idea what to do with those ***-hat O2 sensors of yours. You may as well had carrots shoved in the bungs.

I still think your problem is gone... And Ill be the first to say: I told you so. Don't make me eat my words.

Where did you got your 02 sensors from? I know I seen some people talking about good deals on them just not sure where?

i have never got a CEL after adding the 82mm... my issue with the burn out happened to be with my intake hitting the TB butterfly other than that SOLID... thats weird how some have these issues and others dont.

watch going off the bosch part number because the connectors aren't always the same.
I learned that the hard way unless it was just the seller putting wrong parts in box I opened the box and knew it was the wrong color connector and sent it back

Berti's Bosch part numbers are correct, and what Dennis used. Black in front, white in back..

Well- I have to eat my words. His code is back. Only one...

****, I hate being wrong. I am typically wrong once a year, I made it to October....

Well the ECU update from MB was a fail !!

The car was booked in this morning and they flashed to stock and then loaded all SW revisions. Car started fine and so before heading off I adjusted the idle and set the TB to max 2.5 angle. Hit the highway and let they ECU adapt, then turned onto a stretch I know 9/10 will throw the code, long stretch and slightly uphill. Strange thing was I didn't feel any change but my data logger flashed full STFT and AFR was flashing lean at 17-18 so checked for codes and same as every time B28 in STAR and ODB is P0106.
