E63 brake job, now abs light is on
I just did the dreaded 4 wheel brake job on my 2007 e63, repacked the front wheel bearings while i was at it, and now the ABS light is on, any ideas on what might have caused this ? i was reading maybe a speed sensor ? I brought the car home and no power steering as well. Any suggestions ? tips on getting this reset and back to normal ?

Thanks E55freak, tried that last night and nothing, I am pretty sure it's one of the wheel speed sensors, if i start it up and not move it's fine no lights on, but as soon as i get get going 5-7mph the lights kick on, going to head back to the garage now and see what i can come up with....

Kind of off topic, but did you replace the entire hub or just the bearings? Got a reference to where to get the bearings themselves?
As far as ABS lights, I've had mine come on when we replaced a door for body work. They had to plug in and reset it with the computer.

It's a yellow light, I tried that holding down the brake for 2 minutes and nothing there.
I brought it to an indy this morning and he just got a code that the abs control module under the hood was not communicating with his reader, so he thought the module was bad, I guess that's quite common on the E55 ? and that mercedes is replacing then on the E55 at no charge. But this is a different braking system in 2007. I know it's something stupid, the reason being If i sit there at idle, the abs inactive does not come on, it's only when i hit 9-10 mph it clicks on and i get the light and lose my power steering. I checked all the speed sensors to make sure none pulled out of the clips and they all seems fine. I did get original bearing seals from the dealer, im just wondering now if they gave me the correct ones. i am looking into that now.... I guess theres magnets in them for the abs sensor.

it was one of the wheel bearing seals had a slight nick in it and throwing the codes, replaced the seal this morning and all is well again!!!
