The E60 535 X is a pretty nice ride and the prices are dropping very nicely right now.....most are cheaper than the 335.
Try to find the unicorn...the AWD sport with more aggressive body work, sport suspension, larger wheels and some nice interior touches.
Or by a basic and convert it to an M5 clone![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The best part is that it is remarkably easy (and affordable) to get 400whp outta the N54. Solid 12sec car in the snow![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I don't recommend getting the E60 535xi. 535's are notorious for fuel pump issues and turbo related issues. I used to own an E60 prior to picking up my W211 so I say stay away. If you want the N52 motor, then go with a 335xi with mtech sport package in 6 speed. That'll be an awesome pickup. Good luck in your search sir!

2013 Ford Fusion..Designed by the younger brother of Aston Martin's lead designer(so it looks good), built on the euro ford mondeo chassis(so it feels like a 3 series), comes in AWD 2.0t (270hp stock), claims 30+ mpg, has nice tech features. backup camera, BT, and keyless go..

B8 S4 .. the CLA is just too damn small. A friend just bought one a "Sport" model and she came out of a C300 base but its WAY small inside for even her and shes 5'7" and I'm 5'11" and I barely fit in that thing ... the B8 S4 is a good car but these days RS4's are dipping pretty low too ....

2 weeks ago went to Orange county car show and sat on CLA and it's very small. Exterior looks nice but interior is small and ugly. Plus, you won't get the advertize price at $29,900

my argument for a non-perfomance daily driver is based on the fact that the better/sportier car you get will detract from your love of the E55.
To me a daily is supposed to be trouble free, cheap(ish) to run and insure, practical, and not mod-inspiring. just my opinion. For me, getting an EVO or S60R would make me start messing with it.

Went and drove a CLA a few weeks back, too small for me at 6 foot 3.. Recently Ive been thinking s60 R, with low miles. Its been pretty hard to find one with low miles though. Buddy had a s60 R for a year or two and its a solid car. Well see.

Ive got the 55 the way I want it looking and am pretty much done modding it, besides the kleemann headers I have sitting in the closet. Need something else to start messing with.

AKnight, If you can't find a S60R, I would say a 335 or S4 is your best bet. I would take the S4.. more special inside and out, and it's V6 S/C is definitely less problematic than the BMW's engine. AWD on a 335 just doesn't seem right either.
