Yeah, this forum has a lot more members. That is a new forum that people moved to since the other forum was full of idiots and politics. So since there isn't a huge member base there is less day to day action there, it is still growing.

There are a handful of members there that know a lot about the engines though so that is good.

Yeah, that was the forum that I was on when I had my 2004 CTSV but that was in 2004 and 05...I initially went to that one and something was really lame about it so I switched to the other one...I hope I have the right one! LMAO. There is some good info. on there...I got some good tips over there!

I had a 2010 ctsv 6 speed. It was very fast but it was the biggest piece of **** I ever owned and I've owned some pieces of ****. I've never been so glad to be rid of a car in my life.

Did you have a lemon or something? What made it a piece of ****? They are pretty nice cars and pretty reliable too. I have logged many miles in mine now and have no complaints at all other than the Recaro seats upgrade option mine has are a little to hard.

They are a little hard but everyone on the V forum told me that when u wanna sell it....it is difficult without recaros! A little hard might be an understatement!

The other guy that was saying that the V's are junk well...I don't know what type of crap he owned but I have heard nothing but good things about them and I have put a few more miles on mine already than I thought I would this early. Not a lot of miles, 1500 maybe, but the car is pretty cool. I said it when I first got it that is no benz but you sacrifice a few things for others and vice verse! Whatever, only his opinion.

I am not so sure that an 87 SL500 is any better!

Yes. It spent more time in the shop than in my garage. Warped flywheel from the factory, recaros that rocked in their mounts, clicking wheels, leaking and creaking pano roof and several other things that made the experience horrific. In theory the car was amazing and when I stood on it, it could make me forget for a minute... But at the end of the day, it was a $30,000 car with a giant engine. It was never designed to handle the strain the drive train put on it and it creaked popped cracked and rattled as a result. The day the car arrived from Cali I was ecstatic. The day I got the check from GM and handed them my keys I was even moreso.

I'm not saying they are all junk, I'm saying mine was.

My 560 is as pristine an example as one could find. It looks and drives like it just rolled out of the factory. 27 years old and it is more solid than my V on day one.

Was your car an early 09 by any chance? I have no roof so I will never have to worry about any creaking...lol I had a 2004 V with NO roof either and when I was done with it I sold in 3 days online. Many guys do not want a roof in these cars. Obviously, yours was a lemon, sorry to hear.

I am a fan of the older benz cars so there was nothing bad meant by my statement. I have actually had a few of them but sold them pretty quickly to make a few bucks.

I heard a noise from roof area once when I bought the car and was driving home. It seemed like it was coming from the center divider of the two sunroofs (like pano roof in benz). I gave it a little jerk/shove seeing if that was it and haven't heard a noise from it since that I can recall.
