Sorry, the title make sit look like 'I' pulled into TTM, actually he did. I had a few runs this weekend with the V. I am sure the guy will chime in here with the 2012 or so C63 with exhaust. I was heading south on RT 110 in Long Island on Sat. morning trying to do my errands and incredibly enough about 4 cars in front of me on a one lane road is an AMG. I slowly get near him and we now turn onto rt 110 which is a major road with 4 lanes in one spot. So, we get to a light with us both lined up and it's on. We both take off and my traction was still on and I didn't realize it so we all know what happened...car lays down hard comes back, lays down again and then I finally get going and walk him somewhere around 70-90mph. His car ran pretty good and I hope he comes on here to let us know what he did to the car. My buddy has one and he ran 11.93 with only a tune on a street tire. He then pulled into TTM so I guess he is doing work on it! chuckle, chuckle.

Other runs I had this weekend and I am sorry but no video, as I was alone in each one. I am riding down sunrise hwy somewhere around Babylon and there is a little traffic with one of those WRX's in front of me with pretty big exhaust pipes, def not stock sounding either, and his plate read 'bybysti' so we know there will be a run! I thought it was a WRX but reading the plate, not sure which one...it was one of those turbo cars, I know that. Anyway, I try and play with him but there is too many cars. He now knows for sure that I wanna play but seems unresponsive, younger guy driving. I thought he was either glaring at me like, "Do you really wanna lose to this" or like he doesn't race but with that plate...I doubted that! Well, it was the first one... He now downshifts to whatever gear to get us both to around 20mph, he jumps, I jump, pretty even start and I just walked him by a couple of cars up to about 80mph with traffic coming up quickly...he was faster than I thought he would be and not very happy...wouldn't even look at me, forget about talking to me! lmao

The next day some bently wanted to play, an arnage...I appeased and ran past him, totally expected. No thrills there!

Later the same day I found a crew of cars all traveling towards the expressway so of course I followed them. I don't know all the makes but most. First I am next to a 2010 or so Shelby and trying to get him to run and he wasn't havin it. Another was maybe a 240sx with a big tire and sounded ok, figured he might run but he was doing hand signals like rocking a baby letting me know that the Shelby guy isn't running. Next, there was a 370Z who ran for a coupe of secs and I ran past him like he was hitting the brakes! He then pointed me towards, what I think was a Nissan SX, same guy telling me that Shelby aint runnin, real cool young guy. So, we get next to each other and we run and I walk him but not as much as I thought I would...thing ran pretty good. He then points at the GTR, yes one was a GTR and I initially tried to get him to run but at that point there was too much traffic. He def had work done, exhaust was big and he had 'something' racing stickers on the window and tuned by so and so. So, we know what to expect with my minor mods but hey, it's all fun and I will find him again one day and see the progress I made with the next round of mods. So, I see him playing with something as he is driving, like a tablet or something in front of his steering wheel as he is driving. No idea what's going on there but figured I was in trouble! lol Anyway, we line up, slow down to 40 mph or so and I go, he goes, pretty fair start, maybe I jumped a little, (knew I might need it...lol) and we run to about 120mph and he walked me pretty good...maybe 4 cars up till then and it was only going to get worse! I mouth to the SX guy, wow that thing is fast, and he nods smirking! The 370z pulls up to me and I point to the GTR and mouth the same thing, he nods and laughs.

All the guys were real cool, maybe 7 total cars, and they gave the thumbs up as we now go dif ways. Fun day overall. I'll hunt down the GTR in a couple of weeks when my other parts come, Enzo catches up to his work and my tires are 2 weeks away anyway. I think with the next set of mods I can stay with him and hope to beat him but I am not getting my hopes up! lmao

Usually not great at the write ups but being that I brutalized myself the last two nights drinking...I had to stay in tonight. So, very bored, I did a bat hit and started writing...corrected it 15 times and walla! Don't really smoke so...I'm completely BAKED! LMAO

I only use the V when I go looking for runs and Sunday is always a day where I can get some at these gatherings but Sat., when just taking it for a ride to show my friend the car and doing a few errands, that was lucky and entertaining to find those runs!

 

Nice run man! I'm up your way visiting my lady right now. If I had time I would come down to L.I. and see how my stock V fair against your car. Hopefully loosing will be just what I need to get me started with the mods lol.

I was on my way to the Borgata last night and got next to a CTS-V coupe on the AC expressway. I tried a couple times to pace him, but he never responded. Good runs by the way, sounded like fun!

I think I would do a milder cam, 8.6 lower or 9.1 lower with a 2.5 upper with headers after I got used to this power.

I never want anyone to make an excuse and if they do...I have no problem with it and we will just run again...but I do have a couple of excuses and I still DON'T want to run him again...right now! lol I ran two of his friends first in 90 degree humid weather and my ac was still on in all 3 runs...I forgot to turn it off. Any of those cool guys would vouch and say that my windows were closed the whole time. Other than that...he would still win and I might want to run him in a full run this time anytime, just so I can gauge my gains after the next step.

Funny stuff right...all in fun. I wanted to mention that I sold the 1960 nomad so he can read it here. I had it for 2 years and that is an eternity for me...actually the longest old car that I ever owned. I have others but none that I liked as much as that one.
