Anybody use Royal Purple Coolant?

I was talking to my boss earlier today (he drives a newer 5.0 Mustang that he recently supercharged) and he said he used Royal Purple coolant and his temps dropped substantially and the car felt stronger overall since the addition. I'm thinking it might be a placebo, but he was adamant that his temps were lower.

Anybody ever use the RP Coolant? Pros? Cons?

I'm in Florida, so I always run Distilled Water and a bottle of Water wetter for my intercooler systems (no "antifreeze"), and Distilled, Water-Wetter, and OEM recommended coolant in the main system.

Unless you can guarantee that RP is the same "type" of coolant as Zerex G-05, then I wouldn't risk it. You never know what kind of deposits you could build up by using the incorrect coolant. This isn't like the old days when you could just throw the green stuff in there.

+1 on the Zerex G-05.

Cant go wrong with OEM. Lot of engineering sweat went into this. MB would be recommending RP if any gains.
