Well,
I just got in the car tonight and the little rivet on my jean pocket cut a big gash in my steering wheel. I've been looking at the DCT steering wheel for what seems like forever, just ordered it tonight. I'm excited to have it but almost a little sick to my stomach to spend that much on a god damn steering wheel!! Oh well I just must be sick

It was really hard for me to justify as well. That's why I never ordered one until tonight. The gash that I put into the stock wheel is unbelievably bad. I couldn't believe that a rivet on my jeans could do so much damage. I'll post pics once I get the new one installed

Yeah....
I'm really anxious to get this done too. The pictures of that wheel look great...but I really want the flat bottom.

You won't be disappointed. It was actually my first mod. Best thing is you feel it every time you get in the car, and use it every second.
Btw I grew up in Appleton.

I had a hard time justifying spending over a $1000 for a steering wheel, but I did it. Now I'm glad I did, because every time your driving your car you'll enjoy it. I matched the dark birdseye maple, and added the bigger paddles. I think these steering wheels should be stock item on an AMG?

Top quality work. Feels awesome. You can custom order different types of leather and stitching. I've seen a lot with smooth leather top & bottom. perfed on the sides. Silver or red stitching. He can also put a ring at top dead center in carbon fiber or colored plastic. Lots of options.
EDIT: I've had it for a couple of years and still looks great so I can attest to the durability of the wheel.

If you were in the UK we could have sorted you out with a beautifully hand crafted wheel for nearer $650

Just a matter of economics. The P&P would be high and we couldnt economically offer a trade in service for the old wheel as I normally do in the UK. I suppose if I get enquiries for it then we probably would.
