In Need of Some Airmatic Expertise - '03 E55
Hello All,
I've spent a bit of time searching and reading through threads related to my issue but still can't figure out the solution. I have an '03 E55 that's giving me some Airmatic trouble. I hit a pothole and got a flat on the front passenger side about a month ago. About a week after replacing the flat, that same front passenger side started to lose air pressure. The car is currently sitting on all four wheels as low as it could possibly be and displaying the red "Car Too Low" message. I can hear the pump running from behind the bumper but it will not rise at this point. Is it the front passenger strut that needs replacing or is it the air compressor that has gone bad? What can I do to diagnose the issue myself?

Its hard to diagnose over internet. but I had a similar incident except I didn't let the car sit long enough for the entire car to drop... in my case the pothole/damaged strut sagged the worst. I went to Advance Auto online used the internet code got 20% off on the Arnott replacement, then replaced following DIY and brought the old strut to the local Advance Auto parts store and got the 200$ core charge cash in hand. I was able to do the replacement w/o STAR.https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...there-any.html here is the link... this is what I did and only you can diagnose your car.

If you cant get access to STAR, its possible to remove your pump and give it a bench test. Its easy to remove, but I'm not sure what the pressure outputs should be. Or if you know someone local to switch with to try their pump that might help diagnose your issue.
But obviously the best route would be to STAR test it.
