I'm currently running Bmc F1 filters but i read that the liners deteriorate so i recently ordered a set of k and n filters. I plan to install them soon.

I do, and many others too. These are the only ones that are "dry" filters.

Looking at getting K&N's for my 08 e63. Any ideas if it will throw a CEL? http://www.autoanything.com/air-filters/kn-air-filters for $90. Car has 59k miles on it. Just got it.

Just did a resonator delete and wanted to put in new air filters (maybe a little better sound and power??)

K&N 33-2405 Air Filter $38/ea shipped!

I don't believe they'll throw a CEL, just don't remove your carbon filters - that's where the errors start happening...

I did the resonator too - adds a little more grumble

That's a great price, I'll go ahead n order that tonight. I hate to sound like an idiot where are the carbon filters and what do they do? I'd rather ask then mess something up.

It's an e63 thing, so I'm not exactly sure - but most guys seem to have issues if they pull the carbon filters

You know, you can replace that factory kinked tube on the right with one from an S55 that isn't kinked. That's good for at least 80whp.

Do you notice much difference when you pull the filters?

K&N's suck.. I used to run them, and hated to have to clean them and replace them so often. I went back to stock and saw no change in power and they stay much cleaner and for longer.
