Do you guys still install the resistor on the s/c clutch plug even with the tune?
And just to make sure..the plug is to the passenger side under the s/c magnet right?
Thanks

I'll have one soon for a 77mm supercharger pulley with a stage 3 (injectors, looped rail, 82mm TB, headers (de-cat), and heavy cooling mods), but no ported heads/cams. Jerry and John are working on it today in Houston, and I'll be glad to share when it's done.

Couldnt any decent tuner modify your tune for this ? I cant imagine too many people with custom dyno tunes are going to want a canned tune or start from scratch just so they can get this mod. I personally would be ordering it right now if I knew I could easily get my tune modified to make it work.

Call your tuner... I am sure they can speak to it.

The 77 / 180 combo will put you in the 18.x PSI range. I cannot get anythingover 17.5 to work. I know I could defeat the MAP via a map-clamp or somethingcomparable, but I don't have the stomach for it.
I will be watching your progress.

HAHA should have clarified..it is a 77mm supercharger pulley and replacing the 180mm crank pulley. Good catch, should have pointed that out.

Damn even the 83 is a big difference then. On my GTO dropping every tenth of an inch increase boost a good amount. Wish they had more choices on sizes. Also be nice if they listed the amount of boost increase for each size.

This is relative to your mods of course.

Wow, so going to a 83 adds two pounds of boost ?
According to that chart it makes a good bit more boost than a 195mm .......... They need to get some more in between sizes on those upper pulleys.

sigh, I liked having money in my pocket... I think I'm sold on the the plan... 80mm FSP, PLM heat exchanger, secondary cat and res delete with x pipe. And then possibly split cooling and some type of way to monitor IATs. I think this will give me a good balance of beauty and beast

I am not talking to the accuracy of that chart posted, but I gained about a pound of boost over stock. My lower is stock.
I logged using TORQUE and my boost went from ~10.4-10.5 peak to about ~11.5 peak.

Monitoring your IATs is super cheap and easy. If you have a Droid it will set you back about $20 total. I use a blue tooth OBD2 and Torque ($5). Works very well.
hmm..... I was wondering about this. Those numbers did seem very high to me. So you went with the 84mm and gained 1 lb ? On my GTO every tenth adds close to a lb. The 84 would be just about a 1/4 inch. Of course the starting size of the W211 pulley is larger at 3.5 inches VS the 3 inches on my other blower. I would have expected a good 1.5 LB PSI dropping that much. You really need to test with the same conditions too. Cooler temps raise boost.

Just to add to this thread...I have seen and met a few guys running this pulley and their cars are running strong. I can't believe what a SC pulley is doing to the AMG's compared to what it did 6 months ago which was barely any gains (20-30whp). Now it is very impressive as I have seen them run! The negative is...every guy that I know with the pulley and the EC tune is having shifting issues. They are not major issues but seems to be a small glitch somewhere. Can't these guys solve the problem and is anyone else on here having the same problem? I only want to see their cars at full potential.
I don't know exactly what the shifting issues are but I am sure that someone will explain and maybe it is posted earlier in this thread but I didn't have the time to read through this entire thread.
I have heard many good things about EC so please do not take this wrong. I am just curious what the issue is and to try and help my friends get it straightened out.

And to be honest, I would not feel comfortable without a clutched pulley, but that's just me. I like the comfort of engaging and disengaging as I please with my right foot. My .02 on the whole FSP product.

Just want to understand this better, is this correct ?
90mm ==> Stock
84mm ==> smaller pulley with clutch
80mm ==> Fixed pulley without clutch
77mm ==> who makes ?
