Can the TCU tunes be done at a local EC shop? EC DC is down the road from me.

The only shops that have the equipment to do the TCU in house are Houston and Toronto at present. It would have to go to houston for processing.Originally Posted by novae500

Are you certain that Toronto has the equipment? I already bought my TCU tune a couple of weeks ago together with my pulley and ECU tune but never got the TCU updated because I couldn't leave my car with them. At that time they didn't have the equipment. If you could confirm it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I know there's only so much you can do to the 722, but any improvement would be a good thing. Comments?

35% off of all ECU tunes today.
Does that mean if the current listed price for 55 tune is 399$ on your website, the tune will be 399$ minus 35%.
And what about the Fixed SC tunes?
:-)

Does the TCU sale include reprogramming for a different gear ratio? I've been thinking about an SL55 (2.82) diff swap into my E55....Can you keep the factory shift point? (6400 RPM I think?)

Does this TCU tune allow the modification of all shift points (from various throttle maps, shift pattern maps, etc.)?
Basically, if at 30% throttle and other specified variables, the stock ECU and/or TCU calls to upshift from 1st to 2nd gear at 2.5k rpm, can you change that so it holds 1st gear longer, and instead shifts at 3k rpm at this specific throttle/shift map?
Basically, I'm looking for a more aggressive "S" mode.

Thank You, Order placed online, although your shopping cart is a little clunky, and I asked to remove $16 UPS shipping charge..I will send USPS Priority with a prepaid return label, if possible. It will be a little while before I do the gear change, however I am looking around for a spare TCU to buy and send you. I will keep my original one stock.Originally Posted by loungn14

Thanks Eurocharged for my TCU tune, the RPM limits I specified ,and the 2.82 gear calibration. Just wanted to report everything is working fine. I did have to reset the transmission shift adaptations (using STAR) as I've seen you recommend before to others. The car was "short shifting" with the newly installed TCU before I did this. Now it feels fine. On a side note, I found the speedometer was off and the ESP seemed a bit touchy due to my gear swap. I had to use STAR developer mode to go into the engine ECU and recode it for the 2.82 gear as well as my SL sized tires. Now everything works like factory. The transmission shifts faster, and I can feel more torque off idle from before.
