Knock in front drivers suspension
I bought my car with 100K miles and one of the first things I did was replace the very noisy/worn front suspension bushings. I did upper control arms, both thrust arms, inner and outer tie rods, sway bar end links, all ball joints...its all new OEM stuff.
The car used to make a lot of knocking and clicking noises, so its hard to tell if this knock I'm hearing now was present before the refresh, all of the noises went away except this one.
But my question is, does anyone have any idea what this could be: When my car changes pitch positively or negatively, goes over small bumps, large humps, up and down ramps into parking lots, there is a knock only on the drivers side. I've gotten my head into the wheel well, and the fasteners keeping my new suspension in are all tight so thats not it.
Any help on this is much appreciated. Thanks!

if the car is lowered the wear on the inner tie rods on the rack and pinion is accelerated. you will hear a popping sound when you turn the steering when and when you go over bumps. the CV boots will also be filled with oil and will start showing signs of leak.

^ I'm dealing with this now and I only drive mine lowered about 50% of the time (daily driver).

What is the fix for this? Is it just inner tie rods? I have replaced just about everything else but I still hear a pop when my shocks decompress. It almost sounds like the shock is loose, but it isn't

Away bar itself. Very notorious for casing this kind of noise. The bushings are volcanized to the sway bar. A new sway bare isn't extremely expensive but replacing it is a whole other story. It's routed over top of the subframe and it must be lowered. Having it done at a shop will be pricey and doing it yourself will be a bit of a project. Doable? Yes... But a pain in the a##!!

Wurth HHS-K works brilliantly and will penetrate the bushings.

Its not necessaraly a grease, but more of a penetrating oil that will lubricate the bushings. A "grease" will be too thick and will not enter the inside cavity where the bushing sits, it will just stay where it is sprayed/ applied. But if a penetrating grease/ oil is used, it will work itself into the cavity. This will should help remedy some of the knocking noise, but the bushings will still be worn. This would be a band-aid fix and may have to be re-applied later on. Im going to try to do this on mine to ease some of the annoying knock noise until im able to do a full suspension freshen up (bushings, ball joints, sway bar).

I had a left side clunk on my car. I heard it every morning heading to work. Mine turned out to be a broken motor mount. Mounts were replaced, no more clunk. Just something to check while your at it.

I'm doing a whole suspension job myself minus the sway bar bushings area, but my bushings are done with and my steering wheel shakes at 55 mph
