Anyone making it to Atco tomorrow Monday 12/2?

Just curious if anyone is going to Atco tomorrow for track rental? I know there were a few that were possibly going. Supposed to be nice weather, maybe a little more humidity then desired and 52 degrees.

I am there but my user name is 87GN. Track was good but weather wasn't really too good. I am going to check the DA in a little bit but for NJ it sucked! I think it was like 200 instead of the usuall -500 to -1500 or even better! I went better ET but my MPH suffered as it got later and when I finally did a good 60ft the barometer was like 29.46 or something. I got a best of 10.58 with a 1.58 60ft.

There were two AMG E55's there I don't recall their user names but I am sure they will chime in. Mike and his friend Joe and a father and son team...they were all really cool peeps! Mike (black e55 with e63 kit) would have went 10's if the DA was better...for sure! The other car (silver stockish looking e55) was running well too! Lowprofile (Brendan) was there...really cool guy! His friend had a cool Viper running well also.

There were some sick cars there today...I mean sick! 2012 GTR going 9.12 at like 160mph!!! VW golf (noisy sheetbox to me) but going 9's at 147mph or so...COMPLETELY out of control running down the track with giant front tires and like 6lbs of air in them! Car was a POS but fast Actually incredible what some of these guys do to these foreign 4cyl's! Another GTR going low 10's at 135mph or so. An old 3 series BMW going stupid fast at over 150mph...don't recall times. My friends NA LS1 mustang going 9.30's all day at over 131mph...extremely consistent car! Overall a really cool day!

I will post my vids from inside the car on CTSV forum, not the greatest angle how I did it but pretty decent I guess. I will post here as well if anyone wants to see it. See you over 'there'!

Here is one anyway a 10.64 run at 132.00mph

Sold - 05' E55
First, I want to say Thanks to Lowpro for the invite. It was good time and price was right (with some of the $ going to a good cause.)
It was good to put a face with some of the people that you know as a screen name.
As nomad said track condition (prep)was pretty decent, and some fast cars were FAST. The Blue GTR was seeing some crazy MPH - 160's all day, I saw a 168, and 169. The car has some big $ into but its paying off.
Nomads "V" is laying down some nice numbers also.
A real clean, Black E55 was real consistent with some low 11's.
I had my personal best, and I know I'm going to get more out of her. The only thing I changed from my last time at the track to this time was the drag wheels. Oh it was good for picking up 2 10ths , so I'm actually going to sell my CLK wheels with the Hoosier's. (I'll start another thread shortly)
Looking forward to another track event soon.

kompressede: I apologize I forgot your name? Brian here...I had some rough day before I got there as I got a flat tire on my trailer on my way there at 5:30am...pitch black dark out and on the cross bronx expressway. Any of you who do not know the city roads just look up worst roads in the US! So, between looking for cars to NOT hit me and trying to change this freakin tire...it was stressful to say the least! Then I went for a ride in my car Sunday and figured 'ehhhh, I have plenty of gas' NOT A CHANCE! So, I made a run and I thought it was starving for fuel so now it's out to find E85 in New Jersey where there are like 2 gas stations with in 50 miles who have E85. So I crawl to one that we couldn't find and an hour later...I am back with what was probably, not the greatest, E85! So, my head was the FARTHEST from clear! LOL

Anyway, yes it was very cool having a great crew over there and some sick cars. I think you are right, the GTR went 169.9mph now that I think of it!

Let me know when you're going again. No more racing for me but I like to go and watch and then shoot over to AC!

Very nice car BTW! What were you running...11.70's? What mods do you have?

Thx...yeah it shifts nicely and I do NOT have a trans tune! Everyone thinks they need the trans tuned...I don't get it. E55 trans tune I do understand but not in the V.

And that is how you run mid 10s with about $4k in mods while at what 4525lbs with you in the car haha . Oh and I like having a transmission tune on mine, I like the shifts nice and hard/firm when in sport mode and still soft enough but firmer in comfort.

I don't know if that amount is fair to say...if you do all the work yourself (which isn't much) then.... $3600!

I have to drive or ride in one with a trans tune Dave bc I think it shifts incredible like it is. I really wonder how much harder or faster it can shift without thinking that something could break. Not knowing a thing about it I can't comment greatly on trans tunes but I will say this...if it aint broke...don't fix it!

Still, I am sooooo curious as to the difference of the feel of a car with a trans tune. That is on my bucket list!

My friend went from 10.5x to 10.24 just tweaking the Trans tune on his V, don't overlook that if you're gonna drag race it.

Interesting, I wonder if the 2011 cars are dif in any way as far as the trans goes? I think that Daves car is an 09 so maybe they were different?

SBA: What year is your friends car? Thanks for the info. Not sure how many more times I will run at the track though...although it is addicting! Mainly a street guy but had to prove a point to a few locals as 'they' didn't believe it could go this fast with little mods. Def done for this year but we will see next year. I was actually trying to get another rental for this year (not to run but to get cntrlines car there) and ask some of you guys if you wanna go but the weather for the next 2 weeks looks grim! Boost, you could have come and run and picked up your block at the same time from blckbenz! It's a shame what went on with you two but no offense to blckbenz, as I don't know either of you guys, but if I were on the jury the biggest point is that you trusted him in not good faith but 'great faith' and he will not do the same for you! That makes no sense and I am sure that I will meet Ahmad one day and he will be a very nice guy but in this case...because of that I understand 'your' side 100%...sorry Ahmad!

60- my friends car is an 09 like David's. I think the Trans and programs are the same across the MYs but I could be mistaken. . That was right around the time I got laid off from the GM college I was teaching at, I've got everything dedicated to memory prior to that lol.

If you have an aftermarket cam in yours youll find even more ET in the trans tune by getting the shift rpm on point. I'm getting mine tweaked on the CLS tomorrow hopefully. It's kinda sloppy to drive with the converter, stock tune, stock gear, and tall tires.

I am horrible with names...who was that?

Boost: I am curious, how is that CLS55 running? Any issues with the weistec, how fast are you guessing it goes? I was contemplating buying that car before you did and went to the V.

It's running strong with this new forged engine installed, tires that grab and the boost turned up. I wouldn't say I don't really care what it runs at the track, but if I wanted a race car I'd have put this engine in the E, or built something else altogether. I built this to have something fast and good looking to drive everyday and still have my chick or my mom or whoever drive it . My guess somewhere between 10.0 and 11.0

It went mid 12s@117-119 when I got it lmao

10.0 and 11.0, that is quite the gap haha.

I think you mentioned it somewhere but how much boost are you running? I though I read 17 but that is just their standard boost with stock engine, headers/exhaust on 93 so figured maybe more with your built engine and the meth.

I haven't done any logs yet, maybe tomorrow when I change the oil to synthetic now that I put 500 miles on it . The engine is a little bigger, the heads flow better, and the exhaust is fairly uncorked so I don't expect much boost(back pressure) I think I've seen 15 glancing down at the DashDaq...

Bob of course, you threw me off with Bobby...turbobob, as we call him from the V forum, is excellent and I did meet Frank as well. His lightning was running well for sure!

No cam but we did adjust the shift points if that is what you mean by a trans tune. I was blowing through the traps and shifting into 5th gear the 1st time I went so we adjusted that. I thought that some of these other guys were tuning the trans to shift harder.

Here is a better vid of the trans shifting and that is why I couldn't see why anyone would want to make it shift any harder or quicker. Seems to shift pretty damn fast! lol There is no wheel hop in this vid so hearing the 1-2 shift is easier.
