Raced a FBO E60 m5 50-170
Just came back from Mexico. The m5 had ess header tune, transmission tune, rpi headers, rpi oil cooler, rpi inake and a rpi pulley.
My mods are in my sig(edit) my car was on STOCK flash, dealer wiped out my tune and I never re-flashed before the race. There's a full video that will be uploaded maybe tonight or tom. 50-170 I lost by 1 car, my front bumper was at his rear bumper at about 170ish. We were literally side by side until 160 and he started pulling. I was at his rear bumper.
It's a very clean race and the video will speak for itself. For having no headers or crank pulley I think I did great. I will post the video.

Haha yeah that car would need an ess supercharger to race you. I had the car serviced for the SBC pump. Last time I had it serviced my tune felt like it was wiped. I wanted to re-flash the car and just totally forgot
It was a good run and we'll be meeting up again for some more runs. There a fbo c63 coupe that wants to get in so we'll be doing some more runs probably soon lol

You honestly probably did better going up to those speeds having no big pulley since the heat was more under control and it didn't start pulling a bunch of timing by that time.

That's hardly FBO for an E60 M5. No headers, no cat delete, no gears. There was much more HP to be had N/A with that S85.
I honestly thought an E55 with a pulley and tune would beat an E60 M5. Very surprised to hear those results, although the E60 is a serious top-end machine indeed.

I brought the car in for service couple months ago and my car felt as the tune was wiped out. I brought it for service again 2 weeks ago and never drove it since them. I was going to re-flash the car and didn't. I can't say I was 110% happy how it felt but I don't want to even consider making it an excuse or way out.
I'll be racing that same car again along with a fbo c63 and I'm going to re-flash the car and re-race just for peace of mind.

Nice run brotha. I also raced one last year on the way to C&O. I was in the slow lane cruising and out the corner of my eye I see something entering the on ramp at a high rate of speed.
He must have been doing 120mph at least with a LOUD exhaust system. He slowed down once on the freeway to match my speed, so I opened up my cutouts to run open headers, and it was ugly for him from start to finish. Dont recall the speed but it was a third gear pull.

I'm on stock headers and primary cats so I'm honestly pretty happy. I know some think our 5 speed tranny "sucks" but I've proved yet again that's total BS. These cars are all around monsters at any speeds.

Yes, those E60 M5's and M6's are lethal up top. I think you did very well honestly for the minimal mods you have, also the race was in the bimmers sweet spot, so props to you even more. You know if he had 3.91 gears outback too?

Yes, in that case, that is definitely a highly modded M5. All he's missing is gears.
