Need some help. Bought a '09 E63 w/41K miles. Dealer advertised it has P01/02 and Performance Pkg. I can tell it has 01/02 due to the nav, heated/cooled seats, bi-xenon cornering headlamps and fog lights, headlamp washers, etc. the steering wheel is flat bottomed too so I assumed Performance Pkg too (rims were changed out so couldn't verify there). Pulled build sheet (below) and it says P30 but Silver Arrow Edition. Is that the same as Performance pkg? Also, the other options don't show below (panoramic roof, cooled seats, etc). Appreciate the help.

It does not have the performance package. If it did it would be P030. It has the optional steering wheel which probably was Mercedes unloading left over parts for the W211 model.

Silver Arrow package might be the performance package but if it was I don't know.

Typically performance package cars have all the piece broken out as parts of a entire package.

Thanks. That's what I thought and it makes sense. But I also have carbon fiber trim, HDD space, panoramic roof, manual sunshades in rear windows, ventilated front seats, rear auto sunscreen, etc that doesn't show up. So I guess the question is, what is the Silver Arrow edition then? Until I can try and hit 156mph I guess I may not know...

 

Oh and it has distronic too which isn't on here.

 

That can be added aftermarket and not that bad to do. Several on the forum have done it.

Yes if I pull the lever on the right of steering wheel. It also has suede black liner up A pullers and in front of sunroof that I have never seen on an MB ( I had '09 C63 and have '08 ML63)

 

Hmmm Silver Arrow might have been their way to get rid of all the remaining accessories in stock for the W211. Your car is fully loaded, but I believe without P030.

If you jack up the car and the rear wheels are free, if you spin one wheel clockwise and the other spins counter clockwise, you do not have limited slip. I don't think it does because if it did it uses a special additive typically and it should be noted on the build sheet so a tech would know to add it. If you don't have limited slip diff, 90% chance you don't have P030

 

Thanks I will check next time I am under there...I wouldn't be too upset as it doesn't as much that excited me and with the steering wheel it feels tighter. It wasn't an MB dealer so possible they saw p30 and assume it was performance package. It just seems like a ton of options were left off. That build sheet is from compnine so maybe it isn't the best available. The only silver arrow I see was for like early 2000 SLs

 

Yeah don't be, you got the better options from the factory. Its easier to add a limited slip and a tune than to put in Distronic.

Limited Slip diff and a Tune will give you something close to a performance package car.

Obviously P030 has a couple other options, Suspension height and bolts in the suspension.

Your car is actually one of the rarest W211 AMGs produced, outside of the Wagon models, obviously. 2009 I believe had less than 400 E Class AMGs imported into the US

You got yourself a rare E63, congrats!! I added all the P030 options to my 04 E55.
Can you post some pictures and the vin # I would like to check the options to see if they show on my end.

 

You can also remove your front wheel and get the part # of the front airbag and I can tell you if you have the P030 suspension.

 

Man this is great news all. I got it from a corner lot dealer asking $33996. I traded my CTS-V to get it as I missed a daily W156 driver. When I saw them take $6K off what was already below dealer retail I couldn't pass it up! It had such low miles and no record of any problems from CarFax. I even got them to throw in new tires and rims (it had some c230 looking rims and Toyo Les Schwab crap tires so I got AMG rims and Conit ExtremeContacts deducted from cost.). I also have the button to raise the car and the three suspension settings (comfort, Airmatic DC 1 and 2). Guessing that is standard AMG stuff on this car from other posts elsewhere.

Who pulled the data card for you?? Who ever did they gave you the wrong info, it must be from a different car.
According to your vin # you have the P30 amg performance package, and it shows all the options you listed above that you thought were missing:

This is the first fully loaded E63 that I have seen in the US, I saw 2 loaded like yours minus carbon fiber trim, so you are one lucky guy!!

 

Dude thanks so much for looking that up! I pulled it myself for $5 from something nine.com. It definitely looked like it was skinny so maybe their site is garbage. Anyway you could send me a copy to have? I would be very greatful! The owner of the dealer bought it from auction, drive it for 3 months, and ended up Selling to me for $3400 less than he paid at auction (he showed me the cancelled check to entice me). It was the most expensive car (at $34K) on their lot by $15K and he only took my CTS-V after he drove it to a cadillac dealer and got a bid from their sales office. I feel like I hit a homerun and am so excited. Will post pictures soon!!

 

You def hit it out of the park with this one, yeah post some pictures because it also shows you have designo leather 850a and 851a called amaretta leather nappa semi aniline black/anthracite.

Yes it has like a suede inset at the top edges of the front seats. They aren't quite the Racaro seats of the C63, but they have a great styling at the top of them. That same suede stuff goes up the A pillar and onto the ceiling.

Oh well, I would have been happy either way, but am glad I wasn't mislead. And I guess being able to do north of 155 with LSD is a plus too.

When you're on the epc enter your vin on the left and at the top right you will see the first icon is a blue car with a note behind it, click on it and it will pull the data card. All e63's have that suede piece on the front seats it's not part of designo. Yeah make sure to test that lsd, that's the easy part lol

Silver arrow package was a special name for the final edition for a model. eg R129 SL500 and SL600 and the previous generation SLK55. Typical upgrades were brakes and cf trim

 

That makes sense then that most of the 09 E63s delivered to US would have that if there weren't many. Brakes look like standard AMG brakes but it does have CF trim so maybe that is the case.
