You can go with a nearly clear tint that will block uv light or a blue tinted window tint. I would look into 3m crystaline 90 or 70. Talk to a local "high end" tinter and get their advice.
I have Johnson films on my cars and love them but it is too dark to keep the blue tint from the ppg solextra glass on the c and e classes.

Im going to check out Spectra PhotoSync. Hopefully I can go light and keep that bluish look to them.
I also saw Llumar AIR BLUE 80 i believe its called but I cant find anyone around here who carries it.

Air blue 80 is great, a ceramic film that destroys the heat in direct sunlight, Had this installed in Alabama on the windshield no less, just about invisible, no one has ever noticed it. Did the rest of the windows darker, forget which value(%) but also ceramic coating. Only thing noticeable with the front windshield is that in direct sunlight you sometimes see a mirror reflection on the signs as you drive down the street, but no glare what so ever from the inside. All in all the black dash can be touched after sitting in the sun and black seats do not remove the skin from your legs or neck unless of course the top is down. CLK63 Cab

I went with a 50% full glass tint job using Huper Optik film. Ultra classy and very OEM-plus.

Thanks for your reply, I actually saw your thread about the car a while ago and I love the way it looks. Does Huper Optik have a blueish hue to their tint film? Looks like after the tint you still have that blueish tint im trying to maintain. Because of that I was thinking of going with the 65% shade but I might consider the 55% more than before.

how to find...how to tell if a Tint Aplicator firm is "high end"..???
there are plenty of firms out there....but I am sure they all call themselves "high end"...so what do I do to find a competent group? thanks.

Typically, "high-end" tint shops carry higher quality films than their counterparts. I was specifically interested in Huper Optik film due to it's heat resistant qualities, so I just went here: http://www.huperoptikusa.com/ and searched for a local dealer. There was only one certified carrier/installer of HuOp in my area...and there are a total of 27 tint shops in Augusta. That should give you an idea of who is among the best in your town.
Hey, I really appreciate it! They are indeed 19" CLS wheels, perhaps the best looking OEM wheel money can buy for this car, love mine! The Benz replaced the M5 you mentioned, I had it for 3 years and could have bought the car twice with all the money I dumped into it lol
